Is the USA doomed?
 

Many say that the USA is going to be doomed. What do you think? Will we pull off a Roman Empire (not conquering people...er...at least not considering it conquering) and be invaded by "barbarians" and be totally humbled and changed.

The USA will eventually fall, as has every great empire before it. I can't see it happening anytime in the near future, but eventually it will. It might not be by barbarians though...it could happen from the inside even...but somehow, one day it will.

This won't be in our lifetime, nor in the 100's of generations of lifetimes in the future, so why even bother talking about it. I'd be surprised if it never did end.

(Barbarians is just a comparison) And it may not be in the near future, but I can see it soon. (maybe not in our lifetimes) and by the way, you are right, no superpower really lives on that long.

Empire? This nation wasn't built like every other nation anyway, with the new technology we have 'falling' like civilizations of the past is impossible.

Why will the U.S. crumble?

Energy. But by this time, a lack of energy will have a grip on the entire world.

I think eventually man kind will be one "empire" against other races.

We cannot live on mars. The aliens will kill us before we land. What do you think happened to the mars probes? Aliens. We are helping them advance in technology and supplying them with parts! This must stop!

With the new technology they had, they thought falling was impossible. There are too many ways the end could come for people to be over confident and say "never in our lifetime".

Heh... If I remember correctly wasn't their technology a factor in their fall? *shrugs*

Yes the USA is doomed, Well maybe not the States, but the Earth itself is doomed. Yes. The world Will be destroyed, but the time is the question, ... When? It is in human nature to kill, We naturally try to be stronger than the next person, thats why we fight, Its eventually going to turn into a nuclear WW3 and We're all going to die.
