Forum Signature Upload

Since the poll came out tied, I decided based on my and Chruser's opinions to take the signature hosting route. To upload a signature image to use on Zelaron:
  1. Choose "Edit Signature Image" in your User CP and upload an image
  2. Choose "Edit Signature" in your User CP and specify where you want it to appear (see instructions at the top of that page)
Hopefully this ends the days of redexes, "image hosted by tripod", and "image pwned by iownjoo.com" in sigs.

This should be made a feature only available to certain people, kinda like custom titles were/are.

I thought that's what most of the thread was about?

Sweet, just did mine. Now if my site gets shut down for some strang reason, my sig will be up. :) I like how your using Member ids for the image file. good idea!

At KA's advice, this is now more limited. Users must now have at least 10 posts in order to have sigs, uploaded sigs, avatars, avatar titles, can unlimited attachment space.

10 posts? Is this a joke? I've gotten 10 posts in 10 minutes before.

I believe the correct term would be "I own I own joo.", which sounds rather childish. See "I SHOT I SHOT YOU COWBOY!"

Anyway, great work on this WW. :)

You missed You missed the point.

Seriously, increase the damn post requirement, at least 100.

Adrenachrome 2004-01-27 06:39 PM

Heh, you can host a sig before you can change your title...

i tottaly agree with KA. 10 posts is a bit low. atleast 100 or 50 . or 75. but 10..i got 10 the first time on zel. anyways. thanks WW. this makes sig hosting virtually gone and makes it much ezier to have cool sigs.

WetWired 2004-01-28 10:04 AM

No, actually, you can change your title at the same point. Weren't any of you listening when I said that I originally made it so everyone could change their title?
As for 10, I think 10 is enough to show that they intend to stay a while. What I don't want is people who sign up just to host their sig and never post, however, I like people that post to have sigs....

Thanatos 2004-01-28 01:38 PM

In that case, anybody wanna make a sig for me? :)
