What country do you think turned the tide in world war 2

as the title sais? I'm just wondering what u think.

If one of the ally would of pulled out would most likely have been a loss.

Jamesadin 2003-12-14 03:09 PM

Canada. We cleaned up at Juno Beach.

Actually, the German's poor stratagy with D-Day probably cost the the war. Plus, they wern't able to hold the ally advance during the Battle of the Bulge, which really screwed it up for them.

!King_Amazon! 2003-12-14 04:51 PM

Yugoslavia.

J_iceman 2003-12-14 05:37 PM

imagine going to war, knowing you going to die!! thats what i only remember about d day, because of them, life is how it is today!

blu_poo 2003-12-14 06:36 PM

Canada, Germany didnt stand a chance against us.

timmay1113 2003-12-14 09:51 PM

Germany turned the tide of the war.... by making there 2 stupid mistakes, declaring war on U.S. and U.S.S.R., and then by Invading USSR they got screwed by weather and that was a fuck up

Jamesadin 2003-12-14 10:29 PM

True, invading Russia was a huge mistake on their part.

Kuja 2003-12-14 10:35 PM

If they had played their cards better they could of conquered the world...
Anyone wanna join me and start battle plans ?

RoboticSilence 2003-12-15 12:21 AM

Germany would have won the war if not for one mistake... Hitler told his men not to attack until his word came. Hitler also decided he'd sleep in on the day of the great battle and his troops got slaughtered without command.

Germany made many, many, mistakes, the fatal one was attacking Russia. They did not have the resources to sustain a protracted war in the east and west at the same time.

Didn't we drop a nuke on Japan?

Demosthenes 2003-12-15 03:02 PM

thats exactly what i was sayin...i thought those 2 nukes turned the tide as well...but...o well

Kuja 2003-12-15 05:31 PM

Meh, the jap are only good at making car, anime and video game. When it come to war they dont have the balls size required:p

Jamesadin 2003-12-15 09:23 PM

Well, Japan was already pretty much beaten after the Battle of Midway, so really, the nukes didn't really "turn the tide".

Kyuss 2003-12-16 05:33 PM

I have to agree, Germany opening a front in the East screwed them. I've watched a lot on the History Channel (:P) and people believe Hitler had a terminal case of Parkinson's and he was trying to outrun his death.

Penny_Bags 2003-12-16 08:22 PM

America or Germany by far, probably about equal, no doubt in my mind that it is one of the two though. We contributed largely to d-day and dropped the bombs which forced japan out of the war (the two atom bombs, and the bombing run in which the b-29s flew off the carrier and went on an incredibly long bombing run, if you know ur history, thank god for japanese power failures).

Pearl Harbor wasn't balls?

RoboticSilence 2003-12-16 08:48 PM

The Japanese aren't even allowed to have an army due to the fact that their army was so insane. The treaty with the United Nations restricts them from having a military.

Demosthenes 2003-12-16 08:59 PM

Which is pretty damn fucked up...what if someone were to attack the japs...yes...i know...they have support...but still...its not like our millitary or some1 elses milltary can be there 100% of the time
