Uninstall

Ok, so, I'm wondering how to uninstall programs without uninstall files built into them. I've got some games (Lineage 2) and what not that don't have uninstall files in them. Also, there is no option in my Control Panel to uninstall them, I've checked this.

Ja, I know you probably need some other program to uninstall them but I would rather not spend 30 seconds searching for one. So, I instead spent my 30 seconds typing up this thread.

Kthx.

Select all, delete.

RoboticSilence 2003-12-12 05:29 PM

Yeah... what KA said.

ask_rabber 2003-12-12 05:32 PM

Doesn't work, some files are undeletable. Plus, I'd have to go through registry and delete those files with it also.

RoboticSilence 2003-12-12 05:35 PM

End all programs using the task manager and then delete everything.

ask_rabber 2003-12-12 05:47 PM

Okfine, yousa missing the point.

Say absolutely nothing you suggested works, could I get a way of uninstalling programs without an uninstall file, or is it impossible?

Kuja 2003-12-12 05:47 PM

reboot and delete them. I had that problem too. Lineage 2 uninstall was completly fucked. So your best bet would be reboot, delete files then use a reg cleaner.
Edit:
I cant beleive you still have that shit on your comp heh

Or, boot in safe mode...

D3V 2003-12-13 03:41 PM

Delete the folder and clean out your reg.

Eddie_Perez 2003-12-13 06:44 PM

Yes, but he must first boot in safe mode, since some isn't letting him delete it. Anyways, I found something for you raab, it's a utilities program that comes with an uninstaller that gets rid of everything give it a try.ACE Utilities

D3V 2003-12-14 11:49 AM

Have you tried using the Win cd to boot and repair it?

Eddie_Perez 2003-12-16 03:06 AM

repair what exactly?

DaFrigginDoctah 2003-12-16 10:30 AM

He said he wanted to uninstall, without it having an uninstall option. As far as I know, if you selected for it not to have an uninstall option you cannot use an uninstall wizard that is not a third party program.

Just do what they said. And dont forget the registry and associated files pertaining solely to this program. >:-|
