Short Movie Review - The Rundown
The Rundown - A Movie Review
B + By Doofus Welcome to the jungle, WWF Smackdown-style. The Rock plays a crime kingpin's "retrieval expert" who gets assigned to track down the boss' treasure-hunting son (Seann William Scott of American Pie fame) in the Amazon jungle to pay off a debt. From the opening scene you may get the idea that this is going to be one 90 minute long, Rock kicking everyone in sights ass type of film. Well he does kick a lot of ass at the beginning and at the end of the movie during the inevitable showdown with the local slave driving-mine owners (nicely and weirdly played by Christopher Walken) personal army. In between though there are some truly humorous moments with rebels, drugged fruits, and humping monkeys around every tree. The flick moves along at a nice pace and there is plenty of chemistry between the two stars to keep things interesting. It's easily the most fun you'll have with horny monkeys all year. (at least I hope so o_O) |
So far, I've heard nothing but good things about this movie. I'll probably try to catch it sometime this week.

It's weird to find out that this movie is actually good, considering how shitty the previews looked.
|
I was kinda half and half on it when I saw the previews. I like The Rock, I like Stiffler, I love Christopher Walken, but the premise of the movie just seemed a bit drab to me. Eh, considering the high praise it's been getting, I'll go see it.

I've actually been dieing for it to come out. I don't know why, it just caught my attention for some reason, and I am a huge movie buff. I've seen just about all of 'em! ;)
Definitely gonna catch this flick. |
I thought it was funny, I'm just pissed off that they took out the "Ahhow!" thing that Chris Walken does.

Besides the fact that Christopher Walken is in it, I thought that this movie looks pretty funny, so I'll be seeing it sometime or another. |
