Question :

Just wondering if anyone knows how to find out the cpu's mhz bus speed and the ram's mhz bus speed without taking the case off. I'm on win xp btw.

Right click on My Computer, hit Properties and its at the specs are at the bottom, or at least mine are.

I used to know a console command that'll give you all that as well. I'll look it up later.

we have this tool for computers that can tell you EXACTLY what you motherboard is and whatnot, you can go to any computer convention and buy one (a bit expensive though)

That DirectX diagnostics brought up alot of useful info, but the only bus speed indicators I found were blank for some odd reason. :/

When you boot your computer if you watch closely you should be able to see the speed at which your RAM is running.

Also, some motherboard manufacturers have free utilites that will show you your bus speeds. (MSI does for their boards.)
