hmmm since my original thread has mysteriously dissapeared i will type it again. i installed L2 and played it w/o any problems. i was sitting in town and i minimized it to check my im's it was minimized for a couple mins and isuddenly get an error message saying my system specs and some other crazy jiberish. the game exits and i wanted to play swg anyways so i go to swg and everytime i click the icon to get into swg i get an error message and i cant do it. wtf????

restart your pc.

Well, the error from Lineage is caused by being in town with English text on, it happens to all of us. Dunno why SWG doesn't work for you though.
