Vote/dicuss your favourite forum theme (skin) here. If you want to take a look at them, but haven't found out why, you can either go into the User CP, click on Edit Options and scroll down to the bottom. The easiest way is to use the Style drop down menu at the top of the forum index though.

I like Plastic, because it's dark and it's blue, and well, it's just cool.

And ocean, it's just the opposite, except it has some blue

i use ocean, the rest were a little too dark for my likes

Hmm...maybe if someone can explain the template format for vB, and give me a ton of penguin pics, I could help you out there. I'm currently working on an interesting style for phpBB.

Of course, I have limited time, so don't expect it tomorrow or anything

funny thing is wet, i think like 2-4 people are already working on it... lol including like 3 admins =0 and i even got tons of pics for some

Vb is alot easier to make themes for than phpBB

You just select the colors (using hex) and upload the new icons you want for it.

Everything else is done by editting the templates.

It's plain HTML divided in different sections called templates in other words. If you want to edit the looks of the start page, you edit the template "forumhome" and so on.

That sucks.

It's not ease of use that's important, it's customizability

P.S. Wouldn't it be cool to have like 10 different penguin backgrounds put behind messages?

You can do that with templates I'm sure.

I really like ocean. It's not too dark, and it's not too bright. It's easy on the eyes and it looks cool. :)

i hope the penguin theme is ocean + LOTSA penguin pics.... cuz that'd be WICKED AWESOME and everything to describe sumthing good
