ps2 network adapter (online)
 

i plan on getting this so i can play socom online but i need to get a solid answer b4 i do. i have dsl with a router and all but im not sure if it will work with dsl, also the tv i would use to play it on is nowhere near a phone. plz sum1 help me with this:confused: :(

Okey dokey. First, you'll need to get an ethernet cable and hardwire it to where you'll be playing. Second, enjoy. DSL works fine, as far as I know. And I don't reccomend SOCOM now. Everyone cheats online via Gameshark. It's completely ruined. Those few who still play are either cheaters or noobies who will get frustrated very soon and hate the game. Just wait for the second SOCOM, which will take care of that problem though.

ok but the next socom does not come out for a while and im going to get the adapter and a game by friday, what game would you suggest?

If you got a couple extra bux, try buying Everquest Online Adventures, and a 30 day Game Card. See if you like it. If not, play some Tony Hawk 4 online or something. I'm not sure, there arent many goodies out online right now.

Yes, but you should buy a 30 day game card (or a 90 day if they sell em) like uncapped said.

so how bad is the hacking online for socom, i mean is it so bad that the game is not worth buying and also how many ppl would you say hack (gameshark) 50%,80%,15%?

More than 80%. Thats for sure.
