Roms isn't wares, if thats what was edited out.

ROMS is not warez Mr. WW, and you are allowed to USE them! (Based on the Copyright laws you are entitled to owning backups if you do indeed own the original game. We are providing a service which is also protected under the copyright law to those who do not have the means of creating their own back up disc. By ordering from us, we understand that you indeed own the original copies of all the games you intend to purchase. If you don't own the games , you must destroy the backups within a 24 hour period or be accountable for Piracy and copyright infringement. During that 24 hour period you can use the backups under evaluation purposes only and if you intend to purchase the games after the evaluation you are entitled to keep the backups. We do not practice Piracy nor do we condone it. You, the purchaser, will be held accountable for what ever actions you intend to do when in possession of the backups. Please note again, we do not condone piracy, but we do recognize the ever growing need for CD backup software to protect valuable originals. If you understand and agree with these terms and conditions and you are in no way, shape or form affiliated with any Government (police and/or federal) agency, or Sony, feel free to look up. If not, please leave now without looking at the following post. All information contained herein is strictly for informational & backup purposes only. ) For more infomation, Please refer to: http://www.zelaron.com/forums/showth...threadid=17235 before you edit shit out. Thanks. |

Here is the official dictionary.com definition of "Warez": "A term used by software pirates use to describe a cracked game or application that is made available to the Internet, usually via FTP or telnet." Anyone who would avoid calling roms "warez" because he or she has missed the fact that their "protection" has been removed, clearly needs to recontemplate this matter thoroughly. |
LOL sorry Bob, these jackasses have no fucking clue what they are talking about, "no warez, buy your own games" its like fucking communism, damn shitheads, dont know shit
|
Chruser, go back to sweden where you belong.
|
No, no you are wrong pal. The main problem is that there IS a law allowing you to own a rom if you actually own the carterage, and if you dont own it you are allowed to use it for 24hours.
This is for VIDEO games chruser, not Computer Programs, and if I remember there are no 'licence agreements' on video games. No offence taken! |

LOL this website is nuts, i say, i like a game, download it at cherryroms.com and people piss their pants and get in huge fights, you uneducated fools, grow up..

well i personaly dont think roms are warez but look at this shit:
Is it legal to make a copy of a game I own? Yes. U.S. Copyright laws allow you to make one backup copy of software you own. However, that backup copy is "tied" to your original. If you sell or give away your original software, you must destroy your backup copy or package it with the orignal when you sell or give it away. Likewise, you may not sell or give away your backup copy without the original. Is it legal to download a copy of a game I own? No. Even if you own the original game, you are not entitled to download a copy of it. Copyright law clearly states that the only copy of software you are entitled to is the one you make yourself. Is it legal to allow others to download my copy of the game I own? No. Distribution of copyrighted works without permission of the creators is a violation of copyright law. What about the "24 hour rule" that says I can try out copies for 24 hours before deleting them? The "24 hour rule" is a clear example of why you should never take legal advice from software pirates. There is no such rule; downloading a copy of copyrighted software not intended for distribution is always illegal, no matter how long you have it. All roms on cherryroms.com are legal.
|
