Galvanic Cell fluid test

Well, I know the fluid repels itself, which gives it a bouncy look, but you have to admit that it looks funny. :)

I avoided antialiasing for the scene as that would make the rendering times far too immense. Oh, and remember you'll need DivX to watch the clip!

/me is confused =\ elaborate on the battery fluid business please :P

Boo~Hoo 2003-03-23 01:13 PM

thats fuxored...

Well, a galvanic cell, one of the most basic components in a battery, is not that extremely easy to describe. It generally has two different types of ions and an ion bridge to connect them and generate energy in some way. Of course, my simple animation doesn't show the actual ion bridge, it just has two fluids and a similar shape to a galvanic cell.

and supposing this would help me in some way? but nice to know ur experimenting

Is liquid hard? Or are you just newer at it?

Chruser 2003-03-24 02:55 AM

Huh? I just took some of the properties of mercury mixed up with water in a low-gravity (or slow-motion) environment.

Try "lava lamp" Chruser.

Chruser 2003-03-24 08:53 AM

A lava lamp doesn't exactly let the fluid connect with plain air anyway. :P

Acer 2003-03-24 09:35 AM

It kinda looks like the fluid is falling in low gravity.

Jamesadin 2003-03-24 11:53 AM

Its pretty good. Keep working on it :)

Chruser 2003-03-24 12:01 PM

I'm not planning to improve it, it was just a simple test anyway. :)

Jamesadin 2003-03-24 02:53 PM

When I say "it", I mean 3D art in general. :)
