Can you say WOW? I didn't make it but a friend of mine did, it was done purely in PS7 with brushes :)

Jamesadin 2003-02-27 04:50 PM

All in photoshop?

I need to talk to him and get some tips! ;)

Acer 2003-02-27 04:51 PM

That was good, did you use a tablet?

Randuin 2003-02-27 06:11 PM

not me and yes all in photoshop, but i think he used a tablet

Acer 2003-02-27 06:23 PM

I ment him :P, yeah it seems like that was drawing skills :)

Randuin 2003-02-27 06:40 PM

if you could do that with a mouse... wow =\

Acer 2003-02-27 07:32 PM

I was have to agree, even with an optical mouse that is hard

Randuin 2003-02-27 07:41 PM

lol it is simply impossible to do that with ANY mouse even trackballs

Acer 2003-02-28 11:22 AM

well, it depends, with the new tools out today he could edit it just like we do in 3D.

Randuin 2003-02-28 09:59 PM

what new tools? :D

Acer 2003-02-28 10:40 PM

maybe I shouldnt say "new", but improved. Like the pen tool in PS is very very powerful if you know how to use it.

`Insolence` 2003-03-10 12:36 AM

... they have i think, wocpads *i forget the term* but if i remember right, its a pad you write on with a pen, thats like a mouse, the best one i think had 75 layers of pressure, that ps has integrated to make pictures like this very easily (or i should say make it easier, this is very hard)

Randuin 2003-03-17 01:16 AM

it's a tablet ;) i own one right now, a intuos2 6x8 tablet

it's wacom tablet

mine is 2048 levels of pressure detection, the lower brand graphire2 have 1024 levels of pressure detection :)

Acer 2003-03-17 01:58 AM

Haha, awesome, I ordered a 6x8 Intuos 2 a few days ago. :)

Acer 2003-03-17 03:23 PM

Uhh... how much did you guys pay for yours?

Randuin 2003-03-17 08:52 PM

it's 348 USD to my understanding (the 6x8)

The painting looks like something Arcipello on devart/conceptart would do. And by brushes he/she probably means using the brush tool, not custom texture brushes. I swear that was made by Arcipello -- identical style. It's not terribly stunning, though. If that was made by him, he's done better. His work often leaves me in awe.

Also, you must have been in a hurry to post it seeing how you spelled the title wrong. ;)

[edit]: Yup, arcipello http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/1386709
You don't really know this "friend" do you? Or are you just trying to make us jealous? :D

Randuin 2003-03-17 11:42 PM

yes i do know this friend :) from 3dbuzz

Acer 2003-03-18 12:40 AM

Who ever did it, its nice... its one good reason to get a tablet.
