Clover Cannons
Instead of just making a bunch of cannons in one spot, make them organized this way. Make a pylon, then 4 cannons on the top, right, left and bottom, then place these 'clovers' accordingly. I have found them to be very effective against drops. And they save a lot of money VS a wall of cannons around your perimeter.

Dont make cannons as D at the choke point, its bad. Just use your offence as defence. Like use goons and zealots as defence.

Detectors help early in the game.

that is true....you should always start building detectors around your base...and alsoo you should put detectors in your base too if your enemy kills all your perimiter detectors and then send cloaked dudes...it is a backup just in case...
i usually put cannons at different vital points suchas as pylons, spaceports, nexus, and the such |
i put a massive wall of like 4 cannons around my shit ;)

cannons ownz jo0! i put them in my mineral deposits and behind buildings.....never in front sometimes if its against terran goin M&M and zerg goin lings.....

Clover cannons are supposed to replace the bigass messy wall. You can see that they work mch better.

Well... Cannons should only be put where you either need anti-drop defence or detection in my opinion. cannons are extremely expensive and they don't move so that makes it a problem, and it is safe enough to ignore cannons and just work aroundthem... if you have a cliff with cannons all over the side, you can just either tank them as terran or drop around them as any race.

yea but overall clover cannons is useless... just put cannons in strategic spots.. not in mass..... clover cannon form....

i find cannons suck i have made cannons at good spots but they seem to get blown up by terran tanks and guardians hmph i jus stick to units

U probably been playing too much money maps or just staying in your base too long with no offensive strikes. By the time they tech up to tanks and gaurdians you should have zealot speed and at least stormers to kill a huge unit of marines. Unless you play maps like hunters and lost temple cannons own.

yea.. ledge cannons on temple and expand. nothing gets in without taking huge dmg ;)

depends if u got HT's 2 back them up i mean yea some cannons can stop a few units but cant stop tanks or gurds...In the long run offenvie cannon is no use unless on the Cliff on LT at there expo but thats about it....There for Stay with Reavers Zlots goons and HT's....and if ur fealing like a total newbie go car's but if there smart they would of seen u a mile away and counterd....
