Small Talk

How often have you been in school and just listened to people talking about who should buy liquor for the party this week, or perhaps how much rather they would like to be at the beach? It goes on, and on forever and beyond. Frankly, people seem to talk about completely unessential things these days, most likely because it's considered to be human. Maybe they want to be like everyone else, or maybe it's just a boolean operation that orders them to talk, and that never ends?

Right now, I wish people could be quiet rather than mumble all the time. Silence is a gift, but people choose to squeak like monkeys because they have nothing better to do. Haven't we evolved?

Ive always said silence is golden, but what am i? Im a load person, i get bored just with small talk.. usually me and my friends end up forcing someone to snort something, throw something at someone, or fall down somewhere. This is what our worlds come to.. a giant shitload of fun :D (btw second to post here, yay!)

Alright, that couldn't be farther from the truth. People talk about what makes them happy and comfortable. If I want to hang out with my friends, drinks beer and play beer pong all night until I pass/black out, thats my prerogative. If I want to sit in a Coffee shop and chat about the world and society while pondering what the future has in store for the world, again, thats my prerogative.

It just so happens that for a lot of people, reminiscing about past good times, planning their future fun, and dreaming about being somewhere that makes you happy is what makes them happy and comfortable.

A good heated debate about politics is always welcome on my behalf, but for a majority of people my age (I'm 21), drinking beer, getting ass, and trying to stablilize their future happiness is 1, 2, and 3 on the top of my priorities.

I'll admit, the majority of my conversations with my friends is breaking eachothers balls and talking about how much fun we had the night before (or something to that extent), but who is to say that those conversations are worthless and non-evolved from monkeys? It just so happens that I get much joy and laughter out of each and every perception about our lifelong memories each of my friends interprets.

We have evolved, we've evolved into a species that not only is moving forward in technological advances every day, but also as people that understand, care, and can relate to every day problems people are bounded with. The majority of the world today no longer acts with neanderlithic tendancies as before, but rather think and act out of compassion to settle disputes. Just think of how far we have come from in just a century on settling domestic disputes. We have evolved, and quite nicely if you ask me.

This can be interpreted two ways. Somedays I feel like I want to be by myself and not talk and just listen to what is going on around me. Other times I love to talk with my friends about things that are going on...not small talk but things that interest me. It depends on your personality and how you are feeling at that time of day.
