I agree, intelligent life forms wont contact us until we get better technology, live on Mars, or stop doing war to our own race. If Aliens are watching us they are probably saying ''Dumb Humans, We should blow their planet to put a end to thier stupidity''. Why would anyone contact someone that can't do peace on their own planet....

actually the reason i say that...is because if you think logically it is hard to imagineeven aliens living longer than a 1000 yrs. And if the laws of physics are true then you cant travel faster than light which leaves us witht he possibility of a limited number of star systems which have planets capable of supporting life as we know. Even if there is a system within a 1000 light yrs that can sustain life...there is no telling how advanced life would have gotten. I believe bacterial life thrives in the galaxy but I would doubt that intelligent life would be able to reach us for a long time...
