Harder Riddles!
1.) The man who invented it doesn't want it, The man who bought it doesn't need it, The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?
2.) A man had to go to an inportant meeting and he had to ride his horse to get there. He left on Friday afternoon and came back three days later on Friday. How is that possible? 3.) There was a legend that there existed two tribes that looked exactly alike, lived in two different places and one tribe told the truth and one told lies. The tribe that told the truth had a great treasure to anyone who would or could drop by... One day a hiker was looking for the famous tribes and came across a fork in the road. Out appeared two people from the two different tribes on each side. With only asking the same one question to each person (knowing that one lies and one tells the truth) he found the right tribe and found the treasure. What question did he ask? (There are a few different interpretations to this one) 4.) A father and son were in a car accident. An ambulance took the father to a hospital 4 miles away and the son was taken to a different hospital, which was fifty miles from the accident. When the son was taken into surgery the surgeon said, "I can't operate on this patient because he is my son" How can this be? 5.) A black dog stands in the middle of an intersection in a town painted black. None of the street lights are working due to a power failure caused by a local storm. A car with two broken headlights drives towards the dog but turns in time to avoid hitting him. How could the driver have seen the dog in time? 6.) Did you know that if a cork is put into a glass of water, the cork will never stay in the centre of the glass but will invariably drift to the side? there is, however, a simple way to make the cork float, and remain, in the centre of the glass. What is it? 7.) Six glasses are in a row. The first three are filled with joice, and the last three are empty. By moving only one glass, can you arrange them so that the full and the empty glasses alternate? Good Luck! |
1: A coffin.
2: Maybe the name of the horse is Friday? 3: "Will you take me to your tribe?". Funny one. 4: The surgeon is his mother. 5: I'm assuming that there was some secondary form of global illumination. Sunlight, because it's during the day? 6: The cork will always float towards the highest point of the water, so fill the glass completely so it gets a slightly rounded shape in the top (convex, I think), and it should float up into the middle. 7: Take the juice from the 2nd glass and put it into the 5th one. It can't be THAT easy, can it? |
You must keep this thing, its loss will affect your brothers.
For once yours is lost, it will soon be lost by others. |
I had all the same answers as Crusher except for the tribes. I would ask each person if their village was along the left fork.

Yeah, Chruser actually had all the answers I had, but I'm sure there are other clever ones too, like K-A's.
