Battle.net 2.0 Free?

Reading B.net forums.
This is on Starcraft though, hopefully this will be the same for Diablo 3.

"When a player buys the StarCraft II box at retail, they will have the ability to play on the new Battle.net for free.

For those listening to the latest Activision Blizzard conference call, Mike Morhaime also mentions it there as well."

That's by community manager, Karune, middle of the page.

I'd assume pay2play with battle.net would not be received positively.

There you go again MAKING ASSUMPTIONS

This would be excellent. I know the Diablo community along with the Starcraft would deter sales for sure.

There's a discussion in that thread I linked to on B.net forums.
Someone argues that B.net being P2P will reduce the numbers of immature players.. wishful thinking.

Grav 2009-06-14 10:06 AM

I'm pretty sure MMOs disprove that. I was playing P2P games since I was 13.

And 99% of people playing WoW are immature.

Asamin 2009-06-23 12:06 PM

That's an assumption.

99.9999999999% of people that are born are immature.

Asamin 2009-06-23 02:41 PM

Are you trying to say you are part of that .0000000001%?

D3V 2009-06-23 02:56 PM

I was going to say Shaq.

Asamin 2009-06-23 07:11 PM
