Use home connection as a proxy ftw.

You know of any decent proxy sites that may not be filtered out? I've been thinking of setting my home laptop as a proxy but still haven't gotten around to it. I'd rather have the lazy version and just type in an address already set up and go.

Nope. Web proxies are just horrible in general. That's why I run my own proxy server.

So are you using WinProxy or WinGate or something to have your system set up as a proxy? Or maybe even a CGI Proxy? I'm curious to how you have it set up. And what about your home computer? Are you running the server through it's own proxy for added discretion?

I use CC proxy. I don't do anything special at home. My IP address shows as my home IP when I'm at work. My home connection is essentially just a middle-man.

I'll get more specific on the settings when I get home, if you want me to. I set it up ages ago, so I don't really remember how to set it up, but I can probably figure it out easy enough. I remember it being a really simple program to set up at any rate.

Okay I figured as much. I doubt I will need any help I was just more-so curious. I'll probably give it a shot myself and if I get stuck i'll ask for some questions. I'd rather figure it out for myself that way if it breaks or quits working atleast I'll have some general knowledge of how to fix it.
