LvL 9 Dueler
 

I was thinking of creating a lvl 9 dueler on HC :killgrin:

Anyways, I had in mind an Amazon or Barb...can someone help me get the best stat points and equipment for one of these low lvl kilers plz?

Amazons suck for low level dueling, I've tried numerous druids with success.

i would have to say the assasn is the best low lvl dueler...

Assassin Hit Recovery rate:
20% for 4 frame faster hit recovery
63% for 3 frame faster hit recovery
200% for 2 frame faster hit recovery

A lv 9 character won't more than 9 pts in a lv 1 skill or more than 4 pts in a lv 6 skill.

You will have 20 Skill Points and 55 Stat Points, if you finish all the skill/stat quests in the game.

There aren't a lot of skill to choose from.
Tiger Strike (TS), Burst of Speed (BoS), Claw Mastery (CM), and maybe Fist of Fire (FoF, uninterruptable)

Most would most TS (9), BoS (4) and rest in CM. (7) or 6 in CM and 1 in FoF? I'm not too sure about that. You will be using Claw/Shield, since you need the blocking.

Stat points placement depends on what equipments you're using. Enough to use all the gear, and rest in Vita.

Equipment:
Helm: Biggin's Bonnet, or a 3 socket Mask. Things to socket it with...20/9max jewel, flawed ruby (17 life), or 14 max jewels (5 from prefix, 9 from suffix)

Armor: 3 socket or 4 socket armor with similar jewels as the 3 socket mask.

Shield: Pelta Lunata. It needs 45 dex to max block at lv 9.

hehe..what's lukewarm water..? Is there a specific temperature? anyway...

Belt: Death's guard. You'll need the Cannot be frozen.

Gloves: Bloodfist, Death's Hand depends on your choice on weapon. The extra 20% ias won't help to meet the next breakpoint if you're going with a Blade Talon, for instance.
Bloodfist gives Life, 10% Ias, 30% fhr..

Boots: .....Don't really know.
There are a few set/unique which are usable for lv 9:
Hotspur - 3-6 Fire dmg, 45% fire resist, 15% max fr 15 life.
Gorefoot - 20% frw, 2% ML, ~20 def.
Hsarus' Iron Heel - 20% frw, 25% fire resist.

For shield...I mentioned the Pelta Lunata due to the fast block rate. If you think faster block rate isn't worth it, feel free to try Umbral Disk...or Pair up Hsarus' boot and Shield for + AR if you're crazy.

Ammy: I used to have a mana leech, 2 resist, some ar/life rare pre 08 ammy. But I didn't use that character for a long time and he got deleted ><''
Not much to choose in this slot for a Level 9... Get a life (haha) or AR or a rare one that I've mentioned.

Rings: if you want AR, go for dual Perfect AR nagel. 75 ar each. Or you can try and find rare ones with AR/Max/Resist.

Weapon: Feel free to...customize on this one. Try shop for a Blade Talon due to the speed, 2x hel it if you don't have the stats. Or you can try and find a 3 socket 15%ed sup Blade Talon and socket it with ed/max...Make sure you have enough stats to use it tho.

Charms:
3x 12% FHR GC along with Bloodfist will help you reach the 63% FHR, 3 frame BP, possibly with AR prefix.

Large Charm of Life +15 life each. With maybe +AR prefix. Bronze, Septic (10 PD), or 4-7% resist if you need those.

the 3 SC under those FHR GC...nothing much useful there...
elemental suffix, resist prefix, not too important really.

Yes. 3 socket Mask is preferable due to low str req.
Other choices would be Crown (Err..forgot ^_^) and Great Helm (63)

4 Armor is Gothic Plate (70 str)
Full plate mail, Ancient armor require way too much strength and shouldn't be considered.

vlld is gay, its just assasins pretty much, and throw barbs, which own assasins with ease..

Id go to lld, lvl 20 is max for clawassys and 24 for trappers, and no u cannot get rushed through hell except for lvl 9.

Best is lvl 18 hybrid ama, usually bows go to 10-90, and javs about 20-70, i believe. Seen some lvl 18 amas own chars into the 90's especially since guided has 'always hits'. If u wanna own higher lvls, ama is the way to go.

But dont be gay and go with kuko, thats the 3rd most overpowered bow in the game. And dont make a lvl 33 thrower, they think their so big and bad, easily owned by an lld druid *lvl 29 is what i consider tops for a druid*

best lvl 9 dueler would prolly be Javazon, psn jav.. and such. =)...

For Level 9, there are not too many builds, really.
Double Swing/Throw Baba
TS/FoF Assassin
Sacrifice/Might/Smite Pally (Or some with throw as well)
Jab/Throw Amazon
Werebear Druid
Throw/Amp Necro

fuck throw amp necro, good idea bud.. at lvl 20 that would own hardcore.. shit man!!! get some frw, nice rare war jav, pelt, twitch, cow king boots, deaths belt + gloves, or belt + bloodfist, 3 socket 60/45 mask, unduped rare dual leech 100 + ar classic rings, holy fuck.. that would be a nice little dueler.

with amp, ba, nice frw, shit life, maybe bone wall idk, i tried to make a lvl 20 bowmancer, which failed miserably

senesia : edit assassins at 200% fhr are 3 fpr not 2 :~)

I'm quite sure it's 200% fhr is for the 2 frames breakpoint.

With no FHR, Assassins will have 5 frames hit recovery.
