The Warriors on Blu-Ray

It looked fantastic. I quality was so high, you wouldn't believe it was almost 30 years old (aside from the clothing, slang, and general 1979 feel). I do love this movie, though. "Warriors! Come out to PLA-AY!"

"The Warriors" is just a good movie in general.

This movie is one of my all time favorites because the mood of it is so intense and the pace is perfect. I can't say I'll see it in Blu-Ray any time soon but I'm sure it's as crisp as the Warriors' jackets.

I really want to go out for Halloween with a big group of friends all dressed as the Baseball Furies. That would be awesome.

I don't see me ever wasting the money on blue-ray as long as dvds are still available. I'm not sure why the big industries are so worried about a larger distribution medium anyways ...everyone knows fast broadband is the way of the future. Not everyone has it yet though so they'll try and leech as much cash as they can.

KagomJack 2007-08-09 03:10 PM

The Baseball Furies were losers. Those dykes with the guns, however, were bitchin'.

Vault Dweller 2007-08-09 03:12 PM

A friend of mine was able to get it for cost, so why not? And they really do look incredible.

And the great thing is, with the success the format seems to be having around the globe (95% of Australian hi-def film sales, outselling HD-DVD 2:1 and 3:1 in the US and Japan respectively, accounting for a large majority of European hi-def film sales) not only are the disc prices dropping, but the price of manufacturing the dedicated hardware is dropping.

I got Casino Royal Blu-ray free from Sony after getting my PS3 and I have to say, I can't watch the regular DVD any more, simply because the quality is so bad in comparison. Bring on the times when Blu-ray is the universal format! :p

The thing is, I can't tell a difference. I guess I may be retarded or my eyes might suck, but it looks just about the same to me except for minor differences.

Some people are more sensative to things such as picture and sound quality.

RoboticSilence 2007-08-09 11:33 PM

Also getting a better TV might help. Money money money.

KagomJack 2007-08-09 11:35 PM

Even WITH a better TV I can't tell the difference. My boyfriend and his family are all drooling about the supposedly better quality of HD versus regular TV and I'm all "Uh...I don't see it."

Lenny 2007-08-10 08:19 AM

If it's a 720p/1080i TV that's below 40", then you're not going to see much difference with anything.

But if it's the full 1080p, you will, regardless of size (seeing as you don't get 1080p TVs under 32", then it doesn't really matter :p).
