Thread moveability/Deletion

Just a thought, I brought it up in the TTS forum a while back and I was suggesting that we should be able to move our threads (If shit gets out of hand move to Off-topic/Flame forum ..etc) Along with being able to Delete the thread completely, no not edit, change it up etc, just delete the entire thread.

I don't really know if this would/could be abused? I'm sure people like myself would find a way to do so (Hijacking an active thread and making it disappear) But I feel that if staff can do it at their whim the general communnity should be able to as well.

Just a thought.

Well, what is "out of hand" or "innapropriate" is usually the staff's call. It's not like either me or lenny aren't on almost all of the time. I say let the staff be staff and avoid problems.

However, like how you can rename a thread within 5 minutes that you make it, I also think you should be able to delete it within 5 minutes, or move it within 5 minutes, but after people actually start posting in the thread, I don't think you should be able to move it or trash it.

Just a note, RARELY does an entire thread get moved or trashed, it's usually just certain posts. The only time I can really think of that a whole thread gets moved/trashed, is when a thread is accidently made twice (the extra gets trashed) or when a new forum is made that better suits the thread (like the NSFW forum and your NSFW threads.) I would be strongly against members being able to move other members posts if they post in their thread.

That would be fine with me, maybe even bump it a little more to 7 minutes or something. I already knew you can edit it.

I'm not sure how thepermissions would work and if WW would have to actually edit anything in order to make this work, but i'm sure it's probably not too complicated.

Just a simple suggestion.

Well I'm sure he could set it up to be on a timer base like how you can edit the thread title. Though, I'll have to say, I doubt this will be too high on the priority list, unless it's more like a "flip some switches" change.

Hmm yeah that would be fine.

Well the E-rep system is in effect, all we have to do now is get the ball rolling on a few new things. Maybe more ideas will popup once people can let their creativity and imagination flow.
