I need a new game...
 

I am bored with all of my apps and flight sims....

I am looking for suggestions for a new game, not to immersive but engaging, something I can waste a couple hours a week on and pick up where I left off the next time I play. It can be PC or Ipad, just looking for ideas as when I google top ten all I get is the same crap lists, with angry birds, fruit ninja and other junk...

And NOT Diablo 3 or WoW....

How about something like Skyrim? Single-player, available on the PC, hundreds of hours of content, and it's not D3 or WoW. Kind of immersive, though.

Alternatively, Minecraft! Single- and multi-player, available on the PC, limitless content, it's not an RPG, and you start again where you left off every time (you can even exit mid-jump and return to finish that jump three months down the line).

I second Skyrim. I suggest Borderlands/Borderlands 2, especially if you can play with other people (you can match with randoms but they are nubs and trolls). Also, I've been playing SW:TOR which seems to be pretty fun. I've heard great things about Guild Wars 2. I've had more than one person tell me it was the best leveling experience they had ever had in a game, and it starts to suck at endgame.

Also with what Lenny said Minecraft is also for ipod/iphone/ipad now. Another set of suggestions is Just Cause 2, Kerbal Space Program, and Portal 1&2. Just Cause 2 is a humongous open world fighting game (whole story line with that). Kerbal Space Program is where you can build many different types of rockets and planes. Portal 1&2 is mostly a mind game that is always fun.

No one plays Just Cause 2 for the story. It's the game I hop on whenever I just wanna blow something up and drive around. It's like a more military version of GTA.
