Your talents?

Basically, what talents do you posess? Ever been in a talent show?

I've got a few but i'll wait a little down the thread and toss them out there, i'm more curious to hear others.

And no, hamsters don't count.

talentedhamster 2008-03-31 02:21 PM

I'm a gymnast!!!!! also a contorcionist.

also crazy good at DDR lol thats about it i think

HandOfHeaven 2008-03-31 02:22 PM

I don't know if it's a talent, but I can silence a room with a completely awkward statement.

Lenny 2008-03-31 02:26 PM

Not to blow my own Trumpet, but I'm a very good Trumpet player (did my Grade 7 exam today). Been playing for about 14 years.

Thanatos 2008-03-31 02:41 PM

I pride myself on being a good basketball player. I wish I was in better shape, though.

I'm also very competetive. Once I start something, I want to be the best at it. I learn from my mistakes and figure out my weaknesses and change my tactics if need be. Whatever I set my mind to, I become pretty good at it. IE: Halo 3, Super Smash Brothers, Day of Defeat, basketball, poker. Basically, if I'm going to be doing something more than once, why not try and be the best?

Grav 2008-03-31 02:59 PM

Espionage. High quality watchmaking. Allergic to carrots.

Tyrannicide 2008-03-31 03:29 PM

I was pretty fucking goodas a goaltender in Hockey, size prevented me from going anywheres really though. 4'11" at the beginning of grade 10 was a pretty obvious sign of that, being the way sports work.

I also picked up drumming 3yrs ago, not bad, but am still a beginner. It is fun, relaxing, and something I enjoy as well. It takes a lot of coordination and the ability to have all 4 limbs doing different things at the same time.

talentedhamster 2008-03-31 03:49 PM

instruments are talent? in that case ive been playing guitar for a few years. and i sing too

D3V 2008-03-31 04:03 PM

Well, pretty wide variety of talent, I suppose.

Like katie said, if instruments are a talent, then I consider myself talented at playing the guitar, I have for a few years off and on, and I'm a relatively good singer I'd say, none of that american idol crap though.

Also, I'm great at basketball and football, too small for both to obtain a scholarship and to really excel, though I have been hitting the gym lately religiously and am working for that goal as a walk-on somewhere onto a practice squad to make my mark.

Also, I can make my eye-brows to the wave, I can vibrate my eyes (it's intense to watch me do it). I can walk in circles on my hands, make my belly roll, I can juggle 3-5 tennis balls.. But other than that, nothing really, oh and I can break dance, somewhat. Not as good as I was before, but I can still do windmills as well as little breaking routines, hmm. Nothing major though.

talentedhamster 2008-03-31 04:05 PM

oh random stuff counts too? lol

I sphereplay (look it up if you dont know what it is) and I can make each eye look in a different direction

D3V 2008-03-31 04:08 PM

Idk, not many people can do it. I can snake from under my tongue, and make eyes look the opposite way as well..

Mantralord 2008-03-31 04:09 PM

i possess the most elusive talent of all: gerrymandering

Atnas 2008-03-31 05:50 PM

I'm an good artist and fencer.

KagomJack 2008-03-31 06:24 PM

I can pick up another language rather easily. I'm not fluent, but I know a few words here and there and, when I actually put just a little effort (and I would be terrified of the results if I tried as hard as I could) I can pick up a lot in only a short amount of time.

Also, I have an easy time making people smile and laugh (which makes work rewarding in its own way).

slaynish 2008-03-31 06:46 PM

The ability to catch a rugby ball full speed and blast through 5+ guys throwing stiff arms and elbows and outrunning 10 other defenders for 50 yards and scoring while weighing 250 pounds, twisted steel and sex appeal.

Or play varsity O/D-Line.
Or throw shotput 40+ yards(varsity qualify but i gave it up for rugby)

Pretty much relying on my athletics(and somewhat- decent.. grades.. 3.25+ GPA is what I'm at right now..) to take me to college.

Thanatos 2008-04-01 07:29 AM

You weigh 250?

Damn son!

D3V 2008-04-01 08:05 AM

Slay, I guarntee I could take you down 1on1 no problem, you would not be able to stiff arm me even if you tried bro, too bad you don't live in florida I'd come scrim with you and show you how to really play.

talentedhamster 2008-04-01 09:29 AM

I could beat both of you!

Vault Dweller 2008-04-01 11:57 AM

I have above average writing abilities, but I don't know if that would be considered a talent as much as a honed skill.

Used to play the saxophone.

KagomJack 2008-04-01 12:50 PM

Some people just write better than others, even with no real practice. I think it's a skill that can be as similar as singing.

slaynish 2008-04-01 08:10 PM

Ohh man. You'd be surprised haha. I'd hate to start a rivalry about who's more physically fit, but from the sounds of it you're just starting to get 'back into working out'. Mind you, i've played rugby with mens clubs as well as highschool teams, it would be no easy challenge.

KagomJack 2008-04-01 09:08 PM

I'm just happy with my nerdy talents ~_~

kyeruu 2008-04-01 09:59 PM

OH YEAH, i can take my fingers and bendthem allll the way back like straws and flip em over.

i can also do impresionism of mj's voice (michael jackson)

KagomJack 2008-04-01 10:03 PM

I used to be able to bend my fingers like that. I'd break 'em if I tried now.

kyeruu 2008-04-01 10:05 PM

nah to easy...... i shouldn't hanging around you guys has given me the gift to insult/make fun off anyone for jsut about anylittle crap they say

i feel gratefull for you

bullshit(aprifools :))

DaFrigginDoctah 2008-04-01 10:30 PM

Very quick learner. School, work, etc.

I took an advanced Physiology / Chemistry class with NO previous experience, blew off the "suggested" pre-reqs and got out with a 4.0. Same with my Medical classes.

I also am a motivator. My presence inspires good atmospheres and determination.

KagomJack 2008-04-02 12:48 AM

I used to be able to help resolve conflicts rather easily. Probably not as well now.

Coffeedagger 2008-04-10 02:35 PM

i don't think i have any talents.

I just started about 2 months ago, and I wasn't in too bad physical shape beforehand, I am now with a ton more endurance from jogging an hour or so alongside working out 3-4x a week, I'm starting to notice definaetly an increased strenght, the thing is though when I have the ball 1 on 1 I pretty much can guarntee that you would not be able to catch me.

-Spector- 2008-04-10 03:17 PM

I am a very skilled and creative drummer. I know almost everything about the hardware and software of a computer, and can fix ALMOST any problem. I can play the piano (Though somewhat rusty since I haven't played in awhile.) and I have a moderately strong will power. I have the balls to stand up and voice my opinion and not follow the "crowd." I am good with math and science, and I can also draw very intricate abstract sketches. I'm good in English and grammar, allowing me to write very creative poetry and stories. I have a natural ability to spell things correctly. I am very manipulative and oddly skillful in social engineering.

Oh yeah, and I do drugs. :wierd:

Vault Dweller 2008-04-11 02:07 AM

Forgot one - I can grow some mad facial hair rather quickly. I suppose that's more genetics than talent, but you've gotta respect the beard.

Thanatos 2008-04-11 07:26 AM

I'm right there with ya, bro.

I've had a goatee since I was 14. No joke.

KagomJack 2008-04-12 04:39 PM

Goatees are awesome.

Yes you do! I know for a fact you do! You have an insanely high IQ and learn at an incomprehensible rate.

Me? I am good at learning how to play just instruments. I currently can play twelve.

D3V 2009-05-26 01:59 PM

got those rhymes

JRwakebord 2009-05-27 12:46 PM

Running, skiing, anything athletic really. If I pick it up I excel at it.

kyeruu 2009-06-06 12:37 AM

i can play guitar, drums, uh........troll, uh.....annoy the fuck ou tof people?

Willkillforfood 2009-06-06 06:17 AM

I'm amazingly good at procrastination and getting through school with as little effort on my part as possible, while still staying in the top 10% or so of my class.

Chruser 2009-06-06 06:45 AM

I have no particular talents.

Senesia 2009-06-06 01:03 PM

Are you saying you're good at everything, but nothing in particular Chruser?

If you mean talents as in, being outstanding in something when compared to other people, I don't think I have much of a talent, either.
