Reading this article it looks as if our economy is screwed. $4.00 a fucking gallon.... I might as well ride my bike to work.

Land of the free, home of the brave, we use 200x more gasoline per year than any other countries in the world and still we're going to end up having to pay as much as them, which is totaly idiocy. We need to be getting a break considering how much we actually use, shit a group buy sort of deal, what the fuck. Fuck.

I can't even afford gas now man, it's a fucking 1hr round trip already, let alone having to make trips anywhere, my insurance is going up, wtf! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Maybe it's time I downgrade to a v6 or something ~_~

Or a diesel. Diesel's higher energy density means even with it costing a bit more per gallon it's cheaper per mile.

Well yes, but not because of their vehicles, other means of producing energy is closing that gap very rapidly.

diesel costs 30 cents more per gallon and yet it is cheeper to drive our jeta then to drive our van.

When He's talking about when he sticks a hose in somebody else's gas tank and sucks the gas out, with his mouth. When you siphon it with a hose that isn't clear, obviously you don't know where the gas is, and it more than likely will get some in your mouth.

What's funny about that, is when you drink gas, not only will it give you a permanent lisp, but other than killing your brain cells and that it can kill you. We had a kid in Jr High that used to get high/buzzed from drinking gas, and ended up getting to the point where couldn't talk anymore without a mouth full of spit. It was funny really, dumbass.

Ha. One of my old drug dealers in high school would siphon gas. That's just sad. I'd be afraid of getting the wrong type.

In the states, almost all cars use unleaded fuel and the majority of light trucks do, too. Most deisel vehicles in the states are clearly marked as such somewhere on the body. If you stick to cars, there's very little chance of "getting the wrong type". Now if you're trying to find high octane fuel, just buy a bottle of octane booster, though I question how you can afford the car that needs it yet not the gas.

I spend over $350 a month in gas, and about $300 in car bills. It's really not that hard :(

Yeah, and siphoning is easy, but illegal. You can be charged with a felony if they want to throw obstruction of property along with theft. It's really not worth it, just skip McDonalds on the way home and you'll be fine.

Oh, and the thing about Octane Boosters is that they don't work. It's as simple as that, you would need about 15-20 bottles per tank to even make the volumeric efficiency change in octane for your liking. The only real way to get higher octane gasoline is to purchase it after it has already been brewed, or brew your own gasoline with the right mix of methane and other addatives.

The point of an octane booster is to boost the octane rating. The reason to do this is to prevent knock in high compression engines. In fact, most octane boosters contain alcohol, which is already partially oxidized. Using an octane booster actually reduces the energy density of the fuel, but allows higher compression.

You're preaching to the Choir..WW. I'm saying, they don't work in reguards to making your octane rating higher, hardly in fact do they allow higher compression, for what you pay it isn't even worth bothing with it. And if you're experiencing knock, trying to use an octane booster solution isn't what you need to solve your problem, but rather a quick fix..

No, they do boost your octane level, and they are the right solution if your problem is that your engine was designed for high-octane fuel. They don't, however, make your gas any more powerful; the only reason to use an octane booster is if your engine was designed for higher octane fuel than you put in it.

Yes, but like I said above, it's basically a waste of money. I seen on mythbusters that the common $4-5 bottle that "treats one tank of gas" only changed the level of the octane from 87 to roughly 87.4, and on another test with a small volume of gas it only went up to 87.9, so back to my orignal point you'd be better off getting the correct gas to begin with, or you'll need to purchase a few bottles of this.
