Patch, pill or shot?

I know the patch is garbage and is only around 70% effective and the women using them that when they DO get preggo their kid has many problems at birth. The pill is only effective if you do it on time, and the shot is like 98% effective but gives you mood swings and you gain weight and lose bone density.

So i'd say sleeve.

They all worked fine for us (Abby's switched methods a few times), but all of the Hormones used have a side effect of weight gain (and the shot is kinda brutal for it).

Depo provera or something like that. Causes bone density loss, but it also does not have some of the side effects. It also isn't effected by antibiotics and epilepsy meds.

We thought about a mirena (you can't have kids for up to 5 yrs) its basically a sperm blocker I think, but when i asked the doctor about it she said that it causes splotting (random period like bleeding) for the first 2 years. i was like fuck that shit. The pill seems to work fine.

And as far as the pill bleeding goes, if you keep up on it you shouldn't bleed. If you miss a pill your body almost gets tricked into a period and you bleed a minimal amount.

Just another thing about the shot, aside from the Weight-gain and mood swings, etc other side effects. You CAN get pregnant within the next two years if you get up and quit taking the shot. The fucked up thing about it being in your system is that if you do happen to get pregnant after you're done with the shot is your child has something like a 30% chance of having some sort of disability... Or atleast from what I understood. Or maybe that's if you get pregnant while on your cycle.

What thanatos is saying is that probably most guys don't want to have a kid at that age and do regret the situation. I'd feel the same way if my girlfriend got pregg-o, and I'm sure most other guys do. My parents even joke about me being the 'mistake' child, or atleast my dad does, it's just a guy thing.

If you honestly regret having a kid after you do, give it to someone who actually wants it IMO. I can understand not wanting to have a kid, but once you do have a kid, if you still regret it, you're doing an injustice to both yourself and to the kid.

Another thing I suppose he was trying to infer is that he does want a kid, just the timing is off. Atleast that's how I feel about it..
