Yea, don't make fun of me for this. I write short stories alot. And now I'm thinking of going the next step, a bit longer ya know? So, any ideas what it should be about?

A futuristic tale of a group of strangers who band for survival and find that the strongest weapon against their enemies is their friendship that they forge together.

That or a coming of age tale of two men.... :grin:

or a story about halo

Definitely a Halo 2 comedy. Be creative, and original.

What's wrong with short stories? I've written a few. They're good practice - get a storyline going in a short story, and get your descriptive techniques and whatever to the point and your larfin'.

Just sit down and start writing about whatever the hell you want. Put the ideas down as they come along. Once you've got a few ideas of the same type together, you can flesh them out into a full story.

What're the short ones you've written like? Care to post your best?

Nope =P. They range from 2-5 pages, and I'm uber lazy. I just seem to have, run out of ideas? idk.

Am I allowed to ask if you'll e-mail me a couple of your stories, then? If you don't want to, then I can understand. I know from personal experience that people don't like others reading what they've done. Heck, I've got loads stored away that no-one is allowed to set eyes on... yet. :p

We were talking about hiking boots should have a warning today.

We got onto the subkect of Mars bars, and the fact they have a warning saying they are made in a factory that contains nuts, so they may too contain nuts. And we decided that that is like having a warning on hiking boots saying "Don't take near cliffs".
