The first one always will, thats the one you never forget, even when you find someone else. But you keep going, just like in everything else in life. You can only control half of the relationship, not both parts. Hopfully you learn as you get older about mistakes you make, and not make them again.

glory_gamer 2006-07-13 12:20 PM

Thanks Father.

Willkillforfood 2006-07-13 12:55 PM

He's a father that could whoop your ass =P.

Titusfied 2006-07-13 02:11 PM

So, does this meanyou are leaving the clan?

Sorry to hear about this. It's true though, the first one sucks. My first gf in high school dumped me unexpectantly, and it crushed me. Time heals everything, and we are still friends to this day. I'm currently in a great relationship and never think of her really. It does take a while to get over it though. Good luck buddy.

glory_gamer 2006-07-13 02:59 PM

Thanks titus means alot. Also i wont be leaving the clan, I almost did at one point and did what that guy is doing. But i knew it wouldnt help any. So i just cut down on everything.

Draco2003 2006-07-13 06:02 PM

Maybe you and that guy need a different sense of what maturity is...

Maturity is the ability to take responsibilty for any actions you do. You buy a new house, you must take responsibility by making payments to keep it. Too many people are losing sight of what keeps people happy. Youth. Everywhere you look, there is some kind of new way of making you look young, yet you still feel 50 inside. If you can still carry on with stuff you did as a kid (no, not throwing wadded up, wet paper towels on a cieling) until the day you die, don't let anyone try to tell you it's childish. I realize that there are some things that you grow out of. If, at 75 years old, you feel that you don't want to play video games anymore, then that's okay. Don't call someone else immature for playing them.

The girl that left him for "not being mature" needs to rethink what maturity is. If he was finacially stable, owned his own house, and had a stable career, then who cares if he played games on the side in his off-time. If some one quits doing something because some one says it's immature, then both people need to grow up and realize that working 40 hrs a week until you are 65 isn't maturity.

And from what I understand about that post, he started the halo grid. He is gonna leave that behind? That's like leaving a 3 year old baby in a dumpster because your girlfriend doesn't want it anymore.

In closing, if you can afford to live and still do what you think is fun, then you are mature. Losing interest after 10 years because you tire of something and losing interest because you "found the girl of your dreams" are two totally different things.

By the by, Glory, glad to see you stayed, even if you cut back...

As for me...without the mic, XBL is lame. I can never find you guys (I think you all are east coast time, I am west coast) and the teams I play with just kill me because I didn't tell them that the rockets were dropped, or that there was a sniper on top of the windmill in Zanzibar.

glory_gamer 2006-07-13 10:00 PM

Yeah we are all east, all but Cola. That was really insightful Draco. Very wise words there.

gruesomeBODY 2006-07-15 07:36 PM

talentedhamster 2006-07-15 08:58 PM

I'm further.

And Mark, it took me forever to get over the first girl to break my heart. The only thing that will make it better is time, there's no "quick and easy" fix. Just hang in there, buddy.

Titusfied 2006-07-17 07:19 AM

Thanks Captain Obvious!

talentedhamster 2006-07-17 10:24 AM

Well, theres no set thing, people handle/get over things differently, if at all. Your what, 19? 20? You got your entire life ahead of you. Basiclly, your gonna get fucked over a million and a half times now, til you find the right one in the end. Then you'll see that (hopefully) it was worth it.

Titusfied 2006-07-18 11:57 AM

Yeah, I'm 24 and had 2 devastating relationship blows that I incurred and got over. I've also handed out that blow to at least 3 other girls, and I'm now in a very kickass relationship. Who knows what will transpire with it though? I'm just playing it by ear right now.

gruesomeBODY 2006-07-18 06:22 PM

if u get married, u are so inviting me to the wedding lol.

glory_gamer 2006-07-18 06:28 PM
