hey what do you think about zelda's new look?
 

well we have all by now heard that Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto has had some thoughts about changing the graphic type of the game. instead of the crisp 3d look Miyamoto has decided to give zelda the now seemingly popular cell shaded graphics. Many dispute that this is just a cover up that nintendo is doing to keep things under the hood for as long as possible but Miyamoto has always been one to change for the sake of being original. what do you think?

i think Zelda is a girls name and i dont like adventure puzzle games like zelda 64

BUT i think that guy, who i know nothing of also has a girls name, or possibly alien name... What do you think of DAT?

First of all, Zelda is the name of the PRINCESS. THe main character's name is Link.

though link himself looks great in cel shades based on what they showed @ E3, Nintendo has to really work on getting his enviornment, particularly objects that interact with him.

As for the idea as a whole, i think in the next year cel shading will be overused a whole lot, but i think this is a nice take on it from nintendo.

From the screenshots I've seen, it looks like the game is gonna be awesome...

I think the game will be good, but no zelda game will ever compare to Ocarina of Time

i really dont like the fact that it is cel-shaded. it makes the game look really kiddie. nintendo wants to show that the gamecube is not a kiddie system, but cel-shading this game isnt going to help.

I will wait and see for myself how the game turns out. I'm not gonna dismiss it entirely because it looks a little cartoony.

well, yea. i would try it out first too. im not saying that the gameplay is bad or anything. i just dont like the graphix. im sure its a great game.

is says that links sister gets kidnapped...he doesnt have a sister. Remember in ocarina, it explains that he has no family

Yeah, but the Legend of Zelda games don't all flow in one storyline. The Link and Zelda characters from A Link to the Past aren't the same people from Ocarina of Time. They screw around with the story continuity to prevent plot roadblocks.

What do you mean it doesn't explain it? It explains it perfectly. I'm willing to guarantee that the Link character in "Cel-Da" is not the same character from Ocarina of Time. That means they can give him a sister, even if he never had one before, because it's not the same character.

well when myamoto made the first zelda game he thought of making it so that it souldn't have one story line but could always change.

GameCube, get over that you don't like Cel-shaded graphics...The latest screenshots from it look great....Plus if you saw it in action, you would definitely change your mind..

Yea, he said he wanted to give gamers a cartoon they control...I'm glad the game doesn't have huge black outlines like in most cel-shaded games...

if you liked super mario RPG's stripped down final fantasy type feel, you'll like paper mario for the same reason.

yea, mario RPG is my fav SNES game, and paper mario is a great game, definately in the top 5 for N64

I thought Ocarina Of Time was the best one. A Link To The Past comes in at an EXTREMELY close 2nd though.

Ocarina of Time was my favorite too, I hope this new one will be good.
