Actually right now I am "cell-less" but I am about to get me a Kyocera K9..*cheap and prepaid*. You can get some kinda cool shit for it, and it's all cheap.

Samsung something. All that matters to me is that it can store numbers, make calls, and text people. Other than that, I find all the "features" on cell phones nowadays useless and extravagant.

Anyway, I just found my phone. Its a c1300 from LG. Small cheap little thing, but I barely use it as it is. It's still nice.

Well, you know, not too much a month, mid range pricing. I just want something that won't like cut out on me every 12 seconds.

It sounds like you've got contract phones - pay a certain amount each month for it.

Pay-as-you-go is quite literally what it says on the tin. You only pay for what you do (calls, texts, WAP etc.). if you don't use your phone much then it is much cheaper than contract.

Well, you can have pay-as-you-go and contracts. I'm just wondering what company would be best for like a pay-as-you-go. I just want something so that I will be able to be contacted at anytime and be able to call people, as well as storing numbers in an address book as opposed to having a handwritten one.

Any mobile can do that...there are some now (mine is one...:D) that you can conect to your pc, and store everything on there as well as your phone...

Why not just get a low minute pay per month plan? I think the minutes are cheaper that way. Iunno though. My family and I are on a family share plan from cingular. The service is OK but my phone is being gay. It says I have a voice message when I don't.

Same. Used to be the best phone I have ever had. Almost always had service, built like a rock, then one day it just sucked and it is falling apart and gets no service anywhere. Eh
