I'm definitely going to buy it, but I don't have an online account, plus I don't know when I'm going to be getting it.

I most likely won't play online with XBox Live, but rather multi-player on my school's network. I don't like monthly fees.

Same for me. What's the point of paying to play online when I can play against all my friends here in my dorm over the network?

i bought HALO 2 yesterday and it is fucking awesome it seems to be a lot faster paced game. and the fact that you can play as the covenent as well is just fucking sweet. i cant tell you how much pleasure i get out of smacking someone with my beam sword!!!!!!!

Hmm, that isn't half bad, but I'm going to have to wait until I graduate to completely ruin my life. Temporary stints of nothingness are fine now, but complete abolishment from the world will have to take a back seat, for 8 months or so.

Yeah I have Live but rarely use it, but for $50/yr I feel it is worth paying so I can play those few times

Holy shit, this game is tough as hell.. I love it though! Just finished a 6 hour playing stint. Now its time for bed.

This game is pretty bad ass. The only thing I don't like is how all the levels are freaking HUGE! I liked the fast-paced small levels where it didn't take an hour for a 2v2 game to 50. Pretty much every weapon is an automatic where you just point and shoot; it doesn't take much skill to do this. Dual wielding is some kick ass shit, though. The plasma sword is the best addition, IMO. I wait up high in a building and then jump down on top of someone and slice their freakin' head off. Went on a 20-0 killing streak while doing this. Good times.

Haha, the plasma sword it definitely own. I'm still playing campaign, and I'm loving it. Legendary is next to impossible. :)

I went to a friends house everyday this week to play it, and I must say, it was fuckin' beautiful. The graphics are amazing. I especially love the look of the cannon on the Wraith.

Anyway, campaign was definitely fun. We beat it on normal mode in probably ~10 hours. The ending was lame and left it completely open for a Halo 3.

The multiplayer is of course bitchin'. The one thing I hate about it though is that they nerfed punching with weapons. It takes the same amount of hits from any angle. Punching is only useful if you take their shields out, so it's good with the plasma pistol fully charged. The beam sword is rigged. You can lunge in any direction so long as you're close enough, this includes up onto the edge 20 feet in the air so long as your reticle was red.

Loved Halo, love Halo 2.

BTW, there are tons of Halo's in space. The one you destroy in the first Halo is the first one found by man, than the second one is in Halo 2. Halo could go on for a LONG LONG TIME. So I imagine that Microsoft will run this series as long as they can too cause it brings in the billions of dollars they need.

It sez in game that there are only 7 halos.

I take what I said back. You can kill with punching in 1 hit, I just have no luck at all with it.

Yes, behind Energy Sword strikes are still one shot kills, but I don't melee with weapons too much anymore, so I don't know about them.

Front energy sword strikes are one-kill as well, I think. The brute carbine also has an insta kill.

Clubbing people is pretty much over with. If you're dual wielding(which should be about 85% of the time), you lose your gun if you club so I really don't do it at all anymore.

Not all front Energy Sword swipes are though. The melee lunges are mostly 1 hit kills for lesser enemies, but higher order elites and brutes take two or three usually. Or so I've noticed, I think..

One thing I do like though, the Hunters are actually a shit load harder this time. Unless you have a scoped gun, or are shooting from behind, you will most likely not hurt them. They were fucking cake in HALO, and now they are actually formiddable. If you get two of them in close quarters, they are a pain in the ass!

sucks for you thantos i bought 2 x box games in a yard sale and i guess the retards forgot but their was like 6 passes of full years in one of the games....2 were used but 4 werent so i kind of lucked out. my best tip for you man is go buy splinter cell brand new...it comes with a free year of xbox live in it.

I just played it at my friends house, good game I really like the double weapons. He has live so we played a bit and that was sweet. But yeah legendary is fucking impossible.
