We don't have Archery or Cricket.

Grav 2004-09-26 08:46 PM

Xtreme Chess, Ottoman style.

MightyJoe 2004-09-26 08:59 PM

They don't have it cuz its not a sport, jp. Anyway our high school, had baseball, basketball, golf, hockey, and other sports. Never played any, cuz the hockey coach is a jackass.

Mydogisyourdog 2004-09-26 09:12 PM

Football, Wrestling and Rugby. I only do Wrestling to get in shape for Rugby.

Grav 2004-09-26 09:14 PM

How does running around in a garbage bag get you in shape for Rugby, anyway?

MightyJoe 2004-09-26 09:19 PM

Wrestling, is prolly the most physically demand sport you can play. Making weight and all that other shit, unless you suck then it doesn't matter. But if you want to get into great physical shape that is the way to do it.

Mydogisyourdog 2004-09-26 09:20 PM

heh, dude..Wrestling at my school is like state-level competition. Our coaches take shit hella seriously. We lift and run 3-5 miles a day.... and then practice starts. One time, we pissed off our coach and ended up having to do nearly 700 up-downs. We were at it for like an hour. Fuck, it hurts to think about it.

wilma 2004-09-26 09:31 PM

yah im gonna try out for wrestling this year but doesnt start for another 2+ months -_-

-=Rico-GP=- 2004-09-26 09:54 PM

Highschool yeah.
cs.

Lenny 2004-09-27 10:35 AM

Hmm, we do: Rugby, Hockey, Football (Soccer), Cricket, Basketball, Cross-Country.

Who made Cross-country a sport? All you do is run across country for a bit, run through some cow shit, a patch of stinging nettles, and then bang your shins on a low wall. A loada shit cross-country.

Tyrannicide 2004-09-27 01:15 PM

And this is not because Im CANADIAN....or maybe it is.

I play High School Hockey -_- and I am one of thw two goalies. I was on the team last year aswell.

Hades-Knight 2004-09-27 05:08 PM

Im probably gonna do wrestling this year but I gotta see if I can get money for the shoes and headgear =(

Randuin 2004-09-27 05:31 PM

Ordinary Asian shit. ping pong? badminton? hah

Thanatos 2004-09-27 05:41 PM

Basketball, niqqa!

Randuin 2004-09-27 05:48 PM

Yea. What's with everyone playing basketball nowadays. It's making all the asians wanna be black.

Grav 2004-09-27 06:43 PM

(It's because Chinamen have small penises)

Randuin 2004-09-27 07:21 PM

And we wanna be big like the nigguhz :( It's true.

Lenny 2004-09-28 11:41 AM

Don't like basketball, I have bad memoriea of it as well. Batted (right word) ball down owards ground, and brke someones nose. Lots of blood. Hmm.....

Hockey is good. I can play hockey. Great sport. Get to fend people off with a big shtick!

Mydogisyourdog 2004-09-28 12:24 PM

MightyJoe 2004-09-28 04:57 PM

Running, just like soccer, are not sports. Sorry. :(

Hades-Knight 2004-09-28 05:17 PM

Iw ent to see the wrestling coach to ask him how much the shoes & headgear would be......$50 =o !! Guess I won't be wrestling ever =/ since this is my last HS year

platnum 2004-09-28 06:22 PM

I play baseball.

Slim 2004-09-28 06:32 PM

Track, I pole vault and run the 800.

iceman887 2004-09-28 07:42 PM

no tennis??!?!?!!?!? i'm in that though

Lenny 2004-09-29 10:24 AM

Wilma, where about do you live? America, England, Scandinavia? Where? No matter where you are, cross-country is not a sport. It is a however long run across country, not a sport, a punishment against you when you're PE teachers are feeling kinda vicious. 1 whole hour, running around a track, into cow shit, nettles and low walls cannot be classed as a sport. I'm not seeing it's not hard, it is hard, especially the hard dry-stone walls.

F.O.O.T.B.A.L.L however, is a sport MightyJoe. Sorry.

D3V 2004-09-29 10:55 AM

I ball, bball.

Lenny 2004-09-29 10:57 AM

What are your thoughts on cross-country D3V?

Hades-Knight 2004-09-29 02:53 PM

You know life is over when you cannot participate on a sports team because you have no money to buy the things needed. I know what I must do....

Lenny 2004-09-29 02:59 PM

Rob a bank! Ha ha ha ha! Really, what must you do?

Wat on earth is he eating???

Mydogisyourdog 2004-10-01 04:51 PM

shit. i just choked laughing.

anyways, SOCCER (this is an American Board) is a sport, in my opinion. It consists of heavy physical activity, choices, team work and making plays. Making things happen. Cross -country, you just run. what the hell is the coach even for? the cross country coach at our school even says he is useless.

"Yeah, good job mikey, good running."
or
"Run faster" duh

Xenn 2004-10-01 09:01 PM

If you have natural talent you don't need a coach (unless you want to be super-good). However, coaches (ours anyways) lays out a schedule for what you need to run (i.e. distance one day, speed the next, thresholds, hills, etc.). He also sets up the meets, gives announcements, gives personal advice, gives tips for running a race (it's far more complicated than you might think).

I like cross country because we get to go mess around in cool places and it keeps me in good shape.
