I see peole giving their mercs BASE def shaft stops because they are to lazy and cheap to trade for an eth stone or some other more USEFULL shit. I pleade to you, think of the mercs. They give you their LIVES on a consistant basis. Do NOT treat them like shit, for you will miss them if they are gone,

I gave my merc COH, Eth Botd CB, and a 08 40/15 max gaze..

Dont tell me i dont treat my merc's with respect.

Morons treat their mercs like shit.. or if you don't have many good items.

My merc use left over shittz. Too poor to offer good for him.

My ladder merc uses eth bonehew, perfect vamp gaze, and levi.

i dont use mercs, they make up for your deficientcies which is impractical to me in both aspects of PvM and PvP so i dont ever use one unless i need to level up and get my enchant sorc so i can turbo level faster

my merc (on nonladder europe) has:

shaft (want eth upped one, cant find)
gaze (want eth one)
eth bonehew (want botd ghost, cant pay)

I have noticed that if I do not take care of my merc he tends to "go on strike" when I need him the most. More than once I needed him in a crowded fight and he just wandered off to smell the daises or fuck some demon bitch. Worst of all, when I fight Diablo he goes and hides behind the little wall that sticks out from the church so he does not get fried.

His gear is eth vamp or Veil of Steel, bonehew, and shaft.

What rune do you reccomend in merc's helm?

like his stuff was worth more then my 3 chars together (back in 1.09, when i restarted)

Half these Mercs are foreigners we go to someone in the act and BUY them not hire them because they will be with use forever ..so basically we are running arounf with a non english speaking person thats our slave and no matter how good we treat them they dont understand us lol

Anyway I always give my merc good gear. Most times better than my actual guy.
