What system do you like better?
Out of the three main systems which one do you like better and which one do you think will last the longest either xbox, gamecube, or ps2.
Xbox for sure, I have Xbox and PS2, and play Cube at my friends, and out of all of them, Xbox is my favorite by far
I like all of them but xbox is good for online gaming ps2 has more and better rpgs but xbox is going to last longer.
I have all three, and I only play Xbox usually, except for the few rare exclusives on ps2/gc that I'll pick up.
Its kinda obvious that gamecube is going to go out of business or Bill Gates will buy intendo from them.
Xbox deffinetly.
I'm going to go against the grain and say PS2. Now, nothing wrong with the XBox, but it doesn't carry any exclusive games that interest me.
I own both a PS2 and GC. Of the 2, the PS2 is played more, but I use the GC mainly when friends are over. |
Yeah but like I said before they all have there pros and cons.
Indeed they do, but that's another topic entirely. ;)
Microsoft is losing money on Xbox :D
They are I thought they were getting a profit.
They profit from software, and XBox Live. The actual xbox is screwing them up the ass.
That sucks but xbox is a fun system though.
Damn right it is.
GameCube.
Xbox was suppose to be $400 when it first came out, but they knew people would buy PS2 and not Xbox so they dropped it to $300, that is one of the biggest factor of them not getting as much money... cuz it cost more to build that system than PS2
I would have to say PS2 and wut the fuck r u talking about that the Xbox is going to last longer????Ps2 has already been out longer then it. Xbox has a few good games well PS2 is still going strong with a shit load constatnly released. ONly fucking idiots would say an Xbox is all round better, its only better and a few shitty ways.
Actually, the XBox in it's current incarnation will be around longer than the PS2 as it's 3 years newer. The PS3 will be out before the NextBox (WTF kind of lameass name is that, anyways?)

Rurouni Storm, i suppose ur right, but atleast all the ps1 and ps2 games r supposed to be playable on the ps3 system which owns, i imagen they would do the same for the nextbox.
I hope so that would be great.

Asking which console is going to "last longer" is a pretty retarded question at this late stage in this generation. Both the next Sony and Nintendo consoles will be out by this time two years from now.
Oh, and to whomever said that Nintendo is going to get bought out by Microsoft, you've got to do a bit more research before spouting things like that. Nintendo has no debt, a giant wealth of 1st and 2nd party resources, a quasi-exclusivity contract with Capcom and the most successful console ever created (Game Boy) in it's corner. Nintendo just spent somewhere around 2 billion dollars this year buying back their own stock to make sure that Microsoft can never buy them out. From Preisdent Iwata's own mouth: "The day Nintendo stops making consoles is the day Nintendo leaves the gaming industry." On to other topics. I don't like online gaming, and in my opinion, that's the only thing XBox has going for it. The game library doesn't interest me in the slightest, considering that the only games I would buy on XBox are all on Gamecube as well, and the GC versions are capable of either being better, just as good or almost as good. The only other games on XBox that I give a damn about are Rareware games, and after playing Grabbed by the Ghoulies for ten minutes, Microsoft can have them. I'll wait for Game Zero on Gamecube. The PS2 is a good console, but I don't really like the game library all that much. The Legacy of Kain series, Ratchet and Clank, Silent Hill and Devil May Cry are the only Sony-exclusive franchises that I really give a damn about. If there's a multi-platform game I want, I buy it on Gamecube. My personal favorite is Gamecube. It has the best exclusive game selection and the multi-platform titles always come out better on GC than on PS2. Plus, it has the best selection of multi-player games ever, and as I said before, I don't care for online gaming. So, to summarize: XBox 1. Crappy selection of exclusive titles (except Rare games, and that's a gamble now too) 2. Multi-platform games are usually the best quality (although not by much) 3. Online games (don't care) PS2 1. Some really great exclusive titles (although not many) 2. Multi-platform titles are usually the worst 3. Online games (don't care) Gamecube 1. Great selection of exclusive titles 2. Multi-platform titles are always better than PS2 versions, and usually almost as good (occasionally better) than the XBox versions 3. Best selection of multiplayer titles 4. Extremely limited number of online games (but, as I've said before, I don't like online gaming) Gamecube is my choice. Super Smash Bros. Melee alone has twice as many hours put into it than all of my PS2 games combined. |
gamecube multi-platform is not as good as Xbox IMO, and PS2 isnt fun if for solo games... I really dont like the multi games that they have that Xbox dosent
Usually, no, the GC's multi-platform games aren't as good as the XBox versions, but occasionally they're better. PoP is a good example.
The PS2 is the best of course.
