Chrome's sig.

Marjiuana kills 0 people a year. Does that count for people who were driving under the influence and got in a wreck and died? Or who killed someone while driving? Or do those things just not happen? What if while having your judgement inhibited you decided it would be cool to jump off a cliff into the lake, but it turns out there was a dry spell and most of the water was gone. Jump...weee...splat...dead. Does that count? I'm all for legalizing M.J. but that seems hard to believe.

EX-Mania 2003-10-08 02:02 PM

Driving under the influence of anything can mess u up.. but pot messes u up WAY less.. instead of just rushing from point A to B while ur on pot u tend to be more careful and pay attention to ur driving instead of just to where ur going.. and pot doesnt make u wanna do stupid things.. pot wont make u think u can fly or jump into non-existant lakes..

Titusfied 2003-10-08 02:51 PM

I don't agree with his sigs stats, because they are absolutely wrong. But the main point that it is an insignificant drug compared to drinking is conveyed nicely, and is correct, to an extent.

Kuja 2003-10-08 02:56 PM

Im thinking the same as beer boy.

uncapped 2003-10-08 02:57 PM

There was a thread about it at RGN, and it kind of makes sense.

zeal311 2003-10-08 03:15 PM

when i used to smoke pot, when i was driving i would always put my turn signal on like 2 mins early and I dont know why.

You do bring a point, but the thing is half of your post especaially the stupid cliff comment is even more incorrect than NORML's advertising.

As a matter of fact I am 100% positive that there are indirect deaths from Marijuana, but eitherway there is no Direct health hazard connected to pot. Unlike alcahol and tobacco, habitual use of tobacco can lead to numerous health issues, one major one being lung cancer, not to mention the horrible nicotine addiction. Alcahol can lead to sirocis of the liver, depression, and violence, and numerous other problems.

Marijuana use affects people in many different ways, it can lead to extensive creativity, and awareness, and tons of junk food. I know from experiance. Let me put it this way, I notice 50% more detail in almost everything when high, and I specificly enjoy that.

There are uninformed speculations much like the one you present there, that's all.

Also, the chemicals that smoking marijuana leaves in your body can remain up to and even over a month's time, so just because a person tests positive for use, does not by any means they were under the influence.

I smoke on a regular basis, and I will probobly never, ever stop unless there is a million dollars involved, even then I'd smoke and find a way to fool the million dollar giver.

Edited by Me
On top of that, my beliefs are; the legalization should include licensing for the use of it, you would have to apply and show that you will still handle your business while being a smoker.....ect

kaos 2003-10-08 06:17 PM

His sig's already influenced me too much to smok.

Titusfied 2003-10-08 06:31 PM

I don't even think there are 500,000 deaths related to alcohol and tobacco each year though...

kaos 2003-10-08 06:58 PM

There ARE like 4 billion people on earth. Atleast 500,000 of them has to die of tobacco/alcohol related incidents. Marijuana is not that bad, atleast when you smoke it it makes you feel good :D.

Titusfied 2003-10-08 07:01 PM

Actually, that was a dumb comment I made, I was only thinking the sig was pertaining to the US... :(

OH, and there are like 4 billion peple in China alone! I think there are like 10 billion or something along those lines.

Mantralord 2003-10-08 07:15 PM

6 billion actually.

Sovereign 2003-10-08 07:20 PM

THat would mean china has 6/7ths the worlds population, that doesnt make sence...

uncapped 2003-10-08 07:23 PM

It's true. India has another billion, so that leaves the rest of the world with about 1.5 billion people.

Adrenachrome 2003-10-08 07:48 PM

6 billion the school books are outdated.

kaos 2003-10-08 07:50 PM

Yeah, see, I'm smart, I know my world history :D.

zagggon 2003-10-08 08:05 PM

who cares if M kills people, they choose to use it, hence they deserve what they asked for- pure relaxation

Adrenachrome 2003-10-08 08:41 PM

The problem would be innocents..

Sovereign 2003-10-08 08:45 PM

Or the people who just cant use it responsibly.

Eddie_Perez 2003-10-08 10:31 PM

Since Alcohol/Tabacco cause many more deaths Marijuana should be left alone?

Titusfied 2003-10-08 10:57 PM

It causes less deaths, but it's the "gateway" drug, which is probably why it will never be legalized other than for medicinal reasons.

The1 2003-10-09 12:12 AM

Earth Population 8.9 billion so far and growing.

Eddie_Perez 2003-10-09 01:35 AM

According to the International Programs Center, U.S. Bureau of the Census, the total population of the World, projected to 10/9/03 at 7:18:01 GMT (10/9/03 at 3:18:01 AM EDT) is

6,322,601,072 = 6.3 Billion

J_iceman 2003-10-09 10:37 AM

Chrome's sig is better than mine O_o

and having a licence for using it IS a good idea
just like a gun, if you use it, you are responsible for the after effects

Eddie_Perez 2003-10-09 10:38 AM

You can hold up a store and threaten to get them high then burn them...

Chruser 2003-10-09 10:58 AM

Population:

China: 1,286,975,468 (July 2003 est.)
India: 1,049,700,118 (July 2003 est.)

Besides, I sent the CIA a suggestion about simplifying the URL's of some pages, as they're really hard to remember. Hopefully, cia.gov/factbook should bring you to the factbook soon, at least if they've decided to listen to me.

A 22 million jump between mine and Chrusers post? Scary o_O

Kaneda 2003-10-12 01:08 AM

Ok. So the cliff comment was a bit wrong, but you cant tell me that while stoned you havent done some stupid things because it was funny. You don't have to tell me how dangerous pot is or isnt I do it and I know that its more dangerous driving that it is not under the influence, half the time I can swerve off the road because im laughing so hard

Adrenachrome 2003-10-12 08:15 AM

Stupid shit?... Like spilling my popcorn chicken?

No I don't do stupid dangerous things when I smoke..

It's people like you and whoever you are refering to that shouldnt be smoking..

Kaneda 2003-10-13 01:01 PM

I didnt say that I did dangerous things either, but some people might. And your idea about legalizing it by way of license could fix that. :)
