Morrowind Again
 

Bout to play some Morrowind. Never beat it the first time I played. Wasn't there a mod that allowed multiplayer? Comments, suggestions, banter appreciated.

As soon as you get an amulet with paralyse (Amulet of Admonishment, for example), you can go to the ghost gate and find two people with a full set of glass armor, minus the helm. Paralyse and kill them both for a set of light armor if you're skilled in it and some mega cash (if you know how to work that scamp in Caldera). For your constant effect enchanting needs, you can go to Azura's shrine on the coast in the southeast and complete her quest to get Azura's Star, the grand soul gem that never gets used up. Also, you can get the spell Summon Golden Saint from one of the Telvanni towers, either tel branora or tel mora, IIRC. Of course, the CE enchantment stuff should be persued late in the game...

Also, the jug of stuff that removes intellegance and gives you strength for like 50secs is usefull in two ways: Drink it and you're strong as an ox drink enough of it to reduce your intellegence to 0, and when it wears off, you'll have all your MP back

It sure seems that way... I wonder why that game never atracted me.

I love it. Once I reformatted my PC, though, It went bye bye. I should find that game again sometime.

Okay here's another question. I went a downloaded a bunch of mods.... it crashed, so I took select ones off. Then I had a problem with some people being translucent, so I took some more off. Now I crash sometimes at random. Which mods (besides the official ones - those are a must) should I have? Any reccomendations?

Any in particular that I should not have?

I havn't tried any mods except those I've made myself.

Speaking of translucent, constant effect chameleon is easily abused. I have a char with like 140% constant effect chameleon. No one auto attacks me, and many run away when I attack because they can't see me. This is very useful if you want to join the assasin's guild.

Is there any mods that will let you join the Camonna Tong, or maybe you can in a expansion pack? I always wanted to be in it....

Would you reccomend any mods to enhance my gaming experience WW? Any you made even?

Correction: I = Morrowind god :D, i finished every quest, i have a level 78 character (had to go to jail a few times to get it that strong cuz all my attributes n almost all my skills are at 100.. and i can take on like.. 10 gaenors on 100 skill at the same time lol... i'm toomuch for the game :D i'll find a SS of my character n my stats as soon as i can get the game to work again!

But you see, my level 26 char can beat any quest in the original game, so why would I need to level her up to level 78?

As for mods I made, I never really finished any of them except one for my brother called the "superman mod" (makes the game boring).

Also, I highly recommend a "spellsword" type of custom charactor. Choose magic as your area, choose a weapon and armor type as major skills, then fill in the rest of your skills mostly with magic, but avoid destruction, alchemy, and enchantment. If you choose conjuration as a major skill, you'll start the game with the bound dagger spell, so I go for short blades and light armor and conjuration. The plain old mage doesn't work well because you only regain your MP by sleeping, and you use a lot of it when you cast destruction spells. The spellsword combines the convienience of powerfull utility spells (restore health, levitation, open, etc.) with the convienince of being ready to attack at pretty much any time, for as long as you can stay alive.

Is there any Multiplayer mod?

No, there is not.

I think I remember reading about one that somebody had made or was making.. but I'm not sure.

They made one for GTA3!

(3 minutes later) OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG@$!@#!@$%!@#!@%$!@#@!#.. btw Wetwired, my character is lvl 78 cuz i played the expansions too (I fought all 5 of almalexias hands and beat the shit out of them :D.. although they did break some of my armor =(.. but its ok.. i broke theirs too.. it takes around.. 3-4 hits for me to break their shields :D

I just made all my skills/stats 100 then began my adventure which was soon turned gay because my comp ran the game too slow and i got broed coz no Multiplayer.....


its fun to make ur char with God skills/stats then go kill people in towns.... then liek everybody tries to attack you rofl

It's fun for about 30 minutes... then there is no challenge in the game.... Cheating ruins almost all games I think. It ruined Diablo 1... it ruined Diablo 2 single player... it ruined Warcraft III single player for me... It ruined Morrowind the first time through it for me.

Ha beat you! Level 89 on xbox version, (I equiped the sword called Fury: its permantly reduces all your diff type of armor skills by 20 constant effect) Female Imperial full set of feather clothing so I always weigh 0 with a bunch of loot.

btw, SYG, lvl 89 is ok but not with godly gear to back it up :D

I remember I made a character with 100 Heavy Armor skill and 100 Handd-to-Hand... so I'd run around with full Daedric armor punching people to death. It was fun. I miss Morrowind... I lost it in reformat and I installed it from my friend but I needed space on my comnp and it's like 3 GB.

None, I used temporary skill and stat-decreasing potions. ;)

What do you mean jail? How would that benefit leveling?

While you sit in jail, your skills deteriorate. That is the penalty for going to jail. Otherwise going to jail over paying the money would be a no-brainer.

Hmm, I just reobtained this game, and I'm giving it another shot like Bob. I'm usually always a thief, but I want to try a different approach. I never even used magic before, nor a ranger class.

Do you think it would it be any good if I did like your spellsword class and used a bow instead of a melee weapon? Or should I just stick with a sword instead of the bow?

If you were a marksman, you'd still need a close combat option. You don't want to spread yourself too thin, so I'd definately recommend against marksman, but any of the close combat options should work out. I will note that if you choose conjuration as a major skill you will start the game with the bound dagger spell. This is a major influence in my choice of short blade, because the bound weapon is great for training because it boosts your skill level so you get more hits which translates to faster leveling of the skill. Also, since you'll probably take a magic weakness to get extra MP, the quick repeated hits the short blade tends to do are useful since they interrupt your enemy from casting magic.

oh dont worry I have a full set of deadric and 2 constant effect restore health rings and a constant effect restore stamina amulet and I keep almost every magic weapon or armor I find in my overflow loot bag ;) full sets of almost all armor more gold then I know what to do with....

hint: when your strong enough to kill ordinators, get all there armor thats worth less then 5,000 and goto caldera and find the monster guy and sell to him
