I thank EetMorTacoz for the inspiration to create this thread about ninjas. Ninjas are asassins, spies and other things. They learn martial arts and move really fast. They all seem to wear black as I've seen in the movies. According to my sources all Japanese people are ninjas. That's weird isn't it? I think ninjas are pretty badass. Well that's it really. I'm done. Thanks again EMT for telling me to make this thread. If it hadn't been for you Zelaron users would never be able to write what they think about ninjas.

Ninjas are from Japan. There are females and males ninjas.
Most of the times, ninjas are just used for gathering informations, since they have been trained to shealth their movements.

It was back in 79x-119x A.D. when ninjas were truly born. They put their skills...nonuse..? into real use. However, ninjas do not have any superhuman ability. (And Santa doesn't exist.) While the samurai, a stronger and more popular class in Japan, has some code of honor, ninjas do not follow anything like that.

They do whatever it takes to get their assigned job done: be it attack from behide, poisoning the well, sneaking into someone's house. (Which were against the samurai's code)

The ninjas also don't serve any master. They belong to their clans, and works for money. (The clan leader assigns the jobs) The same ninja might aid you in the morning, and kill you at night, if he's assigned to do that.

That is why most ninjas were feared.

I know alot about the samurai. I fund them interesting but samurai are never shown as having special powers.(subzero, scorpion from mortal kombat)

Did anyone ever see the Discovery Channel special they had on the top 10 most deadly arts (Or something along those lines)?

It was fucking badass. I think Kung Fu was #1, but there was some pretty intense competition. Those dudes are just fucking sick.

Did you know a Shaolin Monk can raise their body temperature up to 8 degrees. They do this in mountains that are very cold. They are tested to go up there and just survive basically for a day or so. Pretty crazy. BTW, they are the ones that Rage Against the Machine had that guy on fire on one of their album covers. They do that for fun or something... ;)

i saw that! Those guys that can focus there bodies and take 4 simultaneous punches to the head were pretty bad ass too!

I think ninjas are awesome. Do they use a certain weapon like a samurai or do they use different weapons?

Ninjas used a wide variety of weapons, mostly small thrown weapons like darts and knives. Nunchukas are a purely modern "Hollywood" weapon by the way :) And easily defended against if you know what your doing.

Ninjas are ancienct band of spies, and thieves. They are a fascinating thing to discuss. Don't flames belong in that forum?

Samurai doesn't use a certain weapon.

Ninja's weapons are usually small, easy to carry. In English term those would be Dagger, Knife, Dart, Hook, Chained Sickle etc.

Kawanaga, Kusari Gama, Ninja-To, Shuriken (star or spike)

Some ninjas use "Grenades", which are some explosive powder and....you get the picture.

Wait I said that wrong. Samurai wore those two swords. The long one was a katana I think and they had a short one. They used these swords didn't they?

Samurais don't even have to use weapons. Heck, I don't think they even have to fight.

Samurais used guns at one battle didnt they? Got their arses kicked too I believe. I read a good book a long time ago about the end of feudal Japan....cant remember what it was called tho.

There were Samurai who mastered the use of guns when guns were introduced to them.

Good for them. They weren't asassins so we shuuldn't be worried. Ninjas though probably use guns if they still exist.

Native Americans, and their skulking way of war, mastered guns before Britain could, and that is why King Phillip's War and some of the earlier battles between the Brits and NA were easily won by the Natives. This is just an example of how people adapt and adjust to the new/improved technologies as they are introduced to them.
