is this your list or one off of a site? (jus curious) I am always happy too look at lists like this and see the majority are for the ps2, means they are doing something right! and not just making shitty games like so many presume...

I'd have Metroid Prime a lot higher personally - probably #1 to be honest. Fusion would be #2, it IS that good, and Medal of Honor #3.

Mortal Kombat doesn't belong on the list IMO. Neithe does Jedi Knight. I think NCAA 2003 makes a strong case to make any top 10. Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance also does IMO.

Why not? Fianl Fantasy 10 is the greatest RPG game on PS2, so it deserves to be on the list

Oh well, personally I think it was great, because it was such a revolution for Final Fantasy: VOICE MAN~

If sparkly graphics and voice acting defines the greatness of a game you need to wake up. FFX was horrible, I regret buying it.

Note this list is almost ENTIRELY differnet then the other one. Yet more of a reason why these things just suck. As they're hardly accurate.

I don't know why people go on about how accurate or inaccurate they are, who cares that is just your opinion (which a million times a day will not match up exactly with someone elses). How about just posting your own list of the top 10 games of the year?
That way you won't have to have any disagreements with the list? The only list that I think has much validty is NGM's games list by how much they sold this year...

Well, indeed, they are all great games! I don't think Tekken IV should be up there, though. It wasn't really that good.

I liked it...I dont know...I've only played it for about 2 hours at my friends party. What I saw and played was fun.

Well, maybe it's because I don't like those type of games, haah!

I thought that you said that you were listing the games of last year. As in, 2002. Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Grand Theft Auto III came out in 2001, yet they appear on everyones list.

They gave Vice City a 10 for a reason. It is a hell of a great game!

Did someone forget SoCom. Or was that 2003.It was released in 02. It is probably right behind FFX.

As a multiplayer game, definitely not a single player game. Socom on single player is teh suck!

Or maybe they thought that it sucked compared to previous Final Fantasy installments from the 16-bit era. Final Fantasy X blew, period.

Story was good in FF X, but the character development was weak with some, and the ending sucked.

The ending was horrible, and the cinematics were boring but other than that I thought it was a pretty good game. If you go back to page 1, I posted Game Informer's top 10 list. So mine would probably be the most accurate but that's just my opinion.

Personally, I liked Vice City and Metroid Fusion the best.
