Hell no! If we'd've left France to the Nazis in WWII then they would have wiped us out! A small island against a force that had taken over the whole of Europe. We did amazingly well to be able to hold our own for however many years. After the Battle of Britian (giant dog-fight in the skies over the channel) our airforce was ever so nearly crippled. A few hundred men from Dahn Sahth against an airforce of thousands of Luftwaffe. Either our lot were drugged to the eyeballs, or they were all drunk on bravery. But damn, did they do good.

Little fact for ya, since Norman times (William the Conquerer invaded and stuffed Harold Godwinson at Hastings) Britain has never been invaded. The last seige of Britian was during WWII when the Nazis blockaded the channel with their U-boats and bombed anything trying to get to us.
