I would get a phone but I'm a poor 18 year old living on his own, and I have no credit, so all those damn companies want 400$+ for a phone/service. Any suggestions?

Yea go buy a prepaid phone and recharge it when you need to. You can get one at Wal-Mart for $49.

N-telos has decent prepaid plans, they are just like normal plans but you pay for the month ahead of time instead of after you use it.

And Sprint sometimes has specials where they don't credit check, so does T-mobile, If I was you I'd definitly check Sprint or T-Mobile first.
