dude, you can't do commercial work with warez version of things, every copy of maya is stictly registerd with alias wavefront, you can't even just walk in london drugs and grab a copy, you gotta go to special retailers to buy them, because EVERY copy is registered, your name and everything in their database, so i ever even want to freelance i'll have to get the software

i could prolly get photoshop and maya for free through my dads work.

It is a different story if you are going freelance...so yeah, Randuin will have to buy a real copy. I wouldn't see that as a waste of money though.
