uhh for some reason, i did a DEMO compile and the game is over 40 megabytes! cause it adds ALL THE EXTRA FILES EVEN IF I DIDDNT USE THEM IN GAME thatss like 100's of ones i dont use

sum yung guy, gravitonsurge,migthychicken, robo... too many lost in that list... or they have a NPC role in ther?

If i DID get it done, how many people are gonna download OVER 40 megabytes, 37 of which dont have anything to do with the game? =p

so far i have it bout 40% done maybe... i got the town done most of the players done, 2-3 forest areas with about 7 unique monsters... the only thing i havent started yet is the general plot/mission, but i did make some little funny side-missions

If that's true, then one of the following is most likely true..

1)You saved all the monsters you have in the RTP folder, forcing you to include the RTP files when you compile.
2)You copied monsters you don't use into your project folder.

#1 is the toughest. You have to import the monsters/chipsets/charsets/facesets/music/etc.
you are using into the project folder. This will let you compile without the need to include the RTP files. I suggest using the built-in importer for this.

If it's #2, and you don't have backups of those files, just save the ones you don't need somewhere else.

Lol... Problem is ive comtply random used things. For example my face sets i prolly used 20 diffrent face sets but only 1 face out of most of them =p ive got Well over 100's if not around 1000 of the files and sorting them will be a pain in the arse... I filled my RTP folder with everything i could find

I see what you mean.. yes, it is a pain to do, but it saves LOTS of space.. You just have to go one at a time through your monster data, see what file it uses, copy that to the project folder, and repeat.. it takes a rather long time, but...

Id ask for help on this game but, its not the kind of project u can get help on (uploading eachothers work back and forth 100 times) lol.... I dunno =/

*Shrug* If it were a small(er) file, you could just say something like..

"You take it for this week, this is what I need done.. (list of stuff)"

well shit, i need to get this done so! new story idea.... Uhhh... Giant strong monster attacks/leads army/kidnaps girl/eats food, forcing you to chase him down before town is destroyed/world ends/illness is lose/monsters rule the earth and you have to train your guys and build uber items till you can destroy him....

Ok lemme update you guys on how far I have gotten this weekend. I worked on it at least 7 houres this weekend. So far I have in total about 15 diffrent maps (Including buildings). Ive gotten 2 towns done, All 19 chars are in, and are ready to be grouped/degrouped with custom spells/skills and starting speech... (19 including main char) . There is still room for possibly 1 more charecter.

The main concern still on my mind is how im gonna get this game... I did a test game disk and it included ALL of my files, over 40 megabtyes. And so far I dont have Any pattern in picking charsets/chipsets Or facesets. I randomly went through and just picked one. Seprating them from just looking is nearly impossible.... Any tools exist? or any walk-arounds...

Also I might need a beta tester for this week, that has a pretty good connection and aim... Dosent really matter but if anyone is intrested in seeing it early and suggesting that i add some things will be good...

Plot is as follows
"Town of Zelaron has been attacked on raids from creatures led by a select few that you must set out to kill and bring down the dark army from the inside. Your father who fought, recently died, as news travels back to you, you decide to take his place in destroying the evil that is killing your town."

There are 2 Main towns right now, Zelaron (its small due to the destroying of most of the buildings but still has the basics) and... A huge town, name pending. There are a couple quests so far for example to get through the forest into the bigger town you need to give an ice crystal back to one of the spirits who had it stolen by one of the armys leaders and hid in a cave...

You will have to level on this game, tho i made it alot easier, really easy to level so you dont have to spend to long being bored and fighting stuff....
