Who won?

HandOfHeaven 2007-11-04 10:22 PM

Patriots.

All 3 who chose Indy can now proceed to lick my balls.

Grav 2007-11-05 06:34 AM

Thanatos, I am sorry. Sometimes I forget about my own omnipotence. Had I not voted "Patriots", the "Colts" would have won. You would not have wasted $200. I... I need to rest now. I need to think on what I have done.

Thanatos 2007-11-05 07:15 AM

Heh, I ended up not being able to go to the game after all. Watched it at my house with about 10 people. The Colts DOMINATED almost the entire game. You've got to give them that. Brady just took over with like 5 minutes left. Seriously, I hope other teams look at this game film closely to realize how to beat the Patriots. We were up pretty much the whole game. But, I've got to give it to them, they came in to the Superbowl champs home with a very hostile crowd and managed to pull one out. Lucky.. maybe.

The Colts WILL meet them again.

Titusfied 2007-11-05 07:41 AM

It was a good game, not up to the super hype though. Both teams started out strong, but the Patriots had the "Bend but don't break" defense working for them in the beginning, holding Indy to 2 early FGs. Then the Golden Boy Joseph Addai took a short reception a long way to the house. From that point on, it was pretty much a struggle for both teams to get anything going until the last quarter. Brady is definitely cool as ice though, marching down the field both times, with the last drive only taking like 42 seconds. He didn't look phased at all.

Both defenses definitely came to play though, which was awesome. Brady AND Manning had very uncharacteristic INT's, sacks, hurries, etc. Good game.

HandOfHeaven 2007-11-05 07:53 AM

I'm happy because I won 50 bucks...

Thanatos 2007-11-05 08:02 AM

I loved the Patriots first play of the game. Brady does a play-action, turns around, and Mathis is right up there in his grill sackin his ass. You're right Titus, this game was pretty uncharacteristic for both QBs. Our defense looked strong early in the game, then fuckin Randy Moss decides to play. How do you stop him? Anybody? We did a superb job in at least containing their explosive offense, our offense just couldn't do it with 2 minutes to play.

By that time, I was on my 10th beer, so I wasn't really paying attention to the game. I had to watch the highlights this morning to really grasp what happened. Such a shame. :(

Rashean Mathis.

Thanatos 2007-11-05 09:41 AM

Umm.. too bad you guys don't play them and won't meet them in the playoffs, either.

I don't see the Patriots losing their last set of games, therefourth you are incorrect, sir.

Another thing, about 10 minutes (or so) in the Jaguars/Saints game our local coverage suffered a "glitch" where they transferred to the Bengals game, what a load of horse shit. We had just scored a touchdown, they go to commercial, and come back and we were watching the Bengals as Chad Johnson lay around on the ground. Thanks alot local CBS affiliate, you guys are a bunch of scatterbrains.

Thanatos 2007-11-05 10:09 AM

The Patriots will not go 16-0. Baltimore and/or Pittsburgh will see to that.

Seriously, other teams need to look at the film from yesterday's game. The Colts were up pretty much the entire game. NE has flaws and we pointed those out yesterday. They are beatable. And they will get beat before the playoffs.

D3V 2007-11-05 10:14 AM

I'm going to guess they'll take out a few starters come week 14/15/16

Thanatos 2007-11-05 10:20 AM

Maybe. Their coach may want to rub it in just a little more to the rest of the league and keep his starters in so they can go for who-knows-what records. He's that arrogant. I seriously hate that guy.

D3V 2007-11-05 10:24 AM

I figured they would've called this game "Battle of the Cheaters". I bet the Patriots video of your plays we're distorted from all the artificial crowd noise you guys like to play on the PA.

Edit* Here's video if you don't believe me.

Thanatos 2007-11-05 10:38 AM

You're retarded if you actually believe that. It's so loud in there because it's one of the smallest stadiums in the league and it's in a dome. Of course it's going to be extremely loud in a game of this magnitude.

They've been investigated before about this and nothing was found.

After tonight, I don't think Baltimore is in a position to do much aside from lick their wounds.

The Steelers, on the other hand...

Thanatos 2007-11-06 06:58 AM

I turned it off at halftime when the Steelers were up 35-7. Big Ben looked amazing last night. A commentator noted, "He's putting up Tom Brady numbers!!" Why do they always have to talk about the Patriots during MNF broadcasts? Seriously, every single MNF game they're all over the Patriots' nuts. Tony Kornheiser is a tool.

So D3V, now that the league has officially stated that their was no artificial noise pumped into that game, what's your excuse now? We're just that loud

Couldn't agree more.

I was just poking at you! hah! , it was noise added in by CBS for the broadcast, it wasn't actually in the stadium.

Thanatos 2007-11-06 07:05 AM

It was a technical glitch in the CBS production truck. Although, this isn't the first time people have complained about the crowd noise in the dome. We just got some loud ass fans!! I love it. Make a trip up here when Jacksonville plays the Colts in Indy. You'll see how loud it really is. :)

Yeah, I remember how loud it was in my house watching the Jags finish the game 44-7. Yeah, it was loud, all right.

And yes, having a dome and a smaller shaped stadium = louder automatically. We can still hang on noise levels with our wide open beautiful stadium.. :)

Few more weeks.

Thanatos 2007-11-06 07:16 AM

It was 44-17. :p

D3V 2007-11-06 07:51 AM

Er, yeah, correction... Still, you guys whooped us earlier this year, and have won the series since our existance..

HandOfHeaven 2007-11-06 07:56 AM

That's pretty crazy that you've been dominated since the existence of time.

The jaguars inagural year was in 1995, and the colts are 10-3 all time as of our last loss.. Oh, and sorry I don't use spell-checker...

HandOfHeaven 2007-11-06 09:05 AM

I see, and I don't either...
