Wouldn't a more challenging decision be being Blind vs. being Deaf or Mute? Blindness vs. Downs really isn't a hard choice.

I'd rather be blind, personally.

Of those, mute. Easily.

Yeah, Mute is a bad example. In fact, I wish more people in the world were mute. Generally I'm used to hearing Blind vs. Deaf, though.

Deaf, I think.

It would be a lot easier to go through life being deaf rather than blind but I would really miss my music and sweet sound effects from movies :(.

Missing music would torture me, but I'd rather be deaf also.
