If you put a layer of Baking Soda in the bottom of the tray (so you can't see the bottom) and then cover it in cat litter, there'll be no smell. :)

Costs an absolute bomb in Baking Soda, but, hey, it works.

I think it's more the fact that they can't get a hold on your scalp or hair if you're covered in Mayonnaise - it's all slippery.

If you leave it on for a few hours, then they probably die of suffocation of something.

I guess it works the same way that Nit Shampoo works.
