Hitler knew it was good propaganda too. He was running the movement before Goebbel was even involved :o.

If it wasn't good Propaganda, then Goebbels would not have been in so much favour.

It was Goebbels idea of Totaler Krieg, and the speeches he made on it, that really got the Genocide happening. If Hitler hadn't have had Goebbels, then there might not have been such a horrific loss of life.

No reason to blame it all on Goebbels. Goebbels was caught up in Hitler's world where the Jewish conspiracy cost Germany World War 1. Then again, no one would know who Adolf was if it hadn't been for the Treaty of Versailles and our treatment/betrayal of Germany. Oh yea, and the whole ignoring him for so many years thing. Although none of the countries are to blame for Germany killing the Jews besides Germany itself, there are MANY that are to blame for allowing it to happen. He was very frank and made it very public that he had a solution for the Jews.

I'm doing half of my GCSE history course on Hitler's Rise to Power. :)

The terrible thing is, when the Nazis set up concentration camps in Germany, the German people were furious, so the camps were closed down. When they were later opened in Poland, the Germans didn't seem to care.

The factor that helped Hitler the most, has to be the Great Depression. If you look at the figures for seats held by the Nazis, it goes from 30 odd, to over 100, to nearly a majority. Reason? People were becoming desperate. The Communist seats were growing in number at the same time too.

Six factors helped him in the end: The SA, The Great Depression, Propaganda, The Weakness of the Weimar Republic, Money from Big Businesses (did you know that a few American firms and business-people, including Henry Ford, gave him a lot of money?) and, of course, his own personality.

Racism is not always actively hating people. Racism is also not doing anything to help these people.

As early as 1923 (when he was imprisoned? I think I got my date a year or two out), he was making his intentions clear in things like Mein Kampf.
