Trolling? No I haven't but I will go look it up, intersting.

Yes, you weren't lying!

Protesting really works! This is power to the people at it's finest point. Make your government work for you, not against you.

Wow, I hope this escalates.

Has the Roman Empire American Government fallen yet?

!King_Amazon! 2011-02-16 10:47 PM

I find it funny that the Roman empire is the only one you could think of to compare to America. If you adjust for the advances that humans have made since then, we pale in comparison to the Roman empire. Maybe once we take over the world.

/Yes, all things eventually die. Gold star for you.

Taking on Iran will be nothing like Iraq, though. War with Iran is serious fucking war.

Besides China, there's probably not another country that could match our prowess in a traditional war atm. The problem is that there is no traditional war anymore. If we just went to war with Iran to wipe their army off the face of the planet, we would probably lose less people to their weapons than to friendly fire and accidents.

Oh, I know. I'm sure we had the Spear of Destiny at some point, but hey, you win some you lose some. The point is, we keep getting less and less stable, and our citizens are too stupid to do anything about it, while our government is constantly arguing about who gets the front seat of the car. We're about ready to fall to pieces.

!King_Amazon! 2011-02-17 11:37 PM

Change will come, but it is unlikely that our outcome will be the same as the Roman empire.

Skurai 2011-02-18 06:32 AM

With all the war and revolt going on around the world, it's only a matter of time before a full "terrorist" group (of Americans) forms and rebels.

!King_Amazon! 2011-02-18 09:09 AM

It's also only a matter of time before an asteroid smashes into our planet and wipes our entire species out. Like I said already, everything dies. You are just stating the bovious.

When protesters are taking over military bases and commandeering tanks, you know shit is about to go down.

Unfortunately, Gaddafi will probably be less likely to be peaceful, and more likely to steamroll the protesters as a result.

D3V 2011-02-21 11:57 AM

Apparently he already has been. That's the thing, Mubuarek *sp* never wanted force against the people, but sent the military out to protect the masses, apparently. Shit hit the fan, i'm sure the US along with other EU countries urged him to GTFO and he basically did in a short amount of time.

Sometimes shit needs to hit the fan in order for real change to take place.

This is not true. He ordered the military to slay the protesters and the military said "we are not killing our own people."

But the critical moment came on the evening of 30 January when, it is now clear, Mubarak ordered the Egyptian Third Army to crush the demonstrators in Tahrir Square with their tanks after flying F-16 fighter bombers at low level over the protesters.

Many of the senior tank commanders could be seen tearing off their headsets – over which they had received the fatal orders – to use their mobile phones. They were, it now transpires, calling their own military families for advice. Fathers who had spent their lives serving the Egyptian army told their sons to disobey, that they must never kill their own people.

The comments on that page are hilarious.

The really dangerous part, from my perspective, is that you are one of the stupid citizens. And you have no idea.

Stop cluttering my thread, you fucking faggot.

Gadhafi speaks as world leaders discuss Libya's future
# Moammar Gadhafi addresses the country on TV
# U.N. Security Council meeting under way
# A witness in Tripoli says a massive protest is expected Tuesday night
# Eastern Libya appears to be under opposition control

http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa...pt=T1&iref=BN1

Isn't Gadhafi the one with some legitimate mental issues, possibly dementia?

Eastern Libya is no longer under government control. Military forces have supposedly defected and are handing out heavy weapons (mortars, artillery rounds, RPGs, etc.) to protesting civilians. Shit is going to go down.

Clutter started with Grav, and continues with me. Skurai had a right to respond. His statement there was probably one of the most well thought statements I've ever seen him post.
