No, I think for the most part it is legitimate. But the questions people were getting wrong are so simple. Also, go watch "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" or any of those game shows that ask simple questions and even I get caught up on some of the simple, stupid little tidbit facts that are taught from a young age.
I would still say that Americans as a whole are stupid. When somebody speaks a different language around the common American, they get offended. When you question the military and government, you are unpatriotic. When you argue that anybody should get married you aren't abiding by the constitution. America was based on the freedom of speech, and the right to have any religion you'd like. We are now so caught up in bullshit that is irrelevant that our country's standards have dropped significantly and it's perfect timing, right now, for some change.
