Don't argue with me about facts when all you present is that Manhattan is big island. It would've been unwise to send a nuke because of all the side effects after would've been deployed. In the movie, all they military personnel say is that they would bomb Manhattan, no specification of an Atomic bomb. So shut the fuck up, and unless you can cite from the movie a scene where they mentioned they were going to nuke the island, you are no better than me in reasoning. As for the "flash of light" you keep mentioning when they died under the bridge, it could've also been just a bomb exploding atop of them killing them under the rubble.

The way the bomb(s) at the end exploded suggests it was most likely a MOAB - Massive Ordinance Air-Burst, or Mother Of All Bombs. It releases a cloud of combustible gas before igniting, creating a vacuum effect that pulverises everything within range.

It wasn't a standard nuke (the fallout of which can stretch for hundreds of miles), nor was it a tactical nuke (which would probably have taken over a quarter of NYC with it). On the other hand, they weren't regular bombs, and the rubble and flash of light wasn't a bomb landing on the bridge (which was in Central Park, Kazilla).
