Quake 4 is never gunna be as good as Quake 3...

Diablo 3 will be tight!

Quake 4 has an actual single player game tho, unlike Q3.

Also, I just got a 360 as well, and Dead Rising is some of the best zombie-bashing fun I've ever head. I stabbed a zombie in the face with a shower head and blood flowed out of it like water. I laughed so hard I peed.

Quake 3 has single player....

Quake 3 has multiplayer against bots, as opposed to an actual separate single player campain.

Yeah, I don't remember an actual single player in Quake 3, just kinda multiplayer with bots.

So? Did it work?

It looks as if my laptop isn't picking up that the ethernet is plugged in. Is there something I need to download in order for it to register that the ethernet cable is plugged in? I didn't think so, but maybe...

WetWired 2007-08-16 08:27 PM

Are you using the correct cable? To connect an XBOX to your PC, you need a crossover cable. To connect an XBOX or PC to a router, you need a patch cable. Put the ends of the cable side by side and compare them; if the same colors are in the same places, it's a patch cable. If two of the colors are swapped (orange and green, I think), it's a crossover cable.

!King_Amazon! 2007-08-16 09:07 PM

You can also make your own crossover cable if you think you can handle doing it. It isn't incredibly hard.

Thanatos 2007-08-17 08:24 AM

I'm just using the ethernet cable that comes with the Xbox 360 Premium bundle.

!King_Amazon! 2007-08-17 08:25 AM

That wouldn't be a crossover then. You'll have to either make or buy one.

JRwakebord 2007-08-17 11:22 PM

You're supposed to plug your box directly into your modem or router, I'm not sure how it would work being plugged into your PC

!King_Amazon! 2007-08-17 11:38 PM

Did you not read the thread, then?

well actually you can, thats how people (the real professionals) standbye. They bring up your ip address on thier computer and boot you from the game, instead of just pushing the button on thier modem. This only happens though if they get host, but they usually have an army grade connection, so they always get it.

Thanatos 2007-08-18 10:19 AM

Man what the fuck why does this have to be so damn complicated. All I wanna do is play my Xbox on the internet goddamnit!!!!!!!

!King_Amazon! 2007-08-18 10:47 AM

It's complicated because you have retarded internet. If you had normal internet like everyone else it's simple, you connect the ethernet cable to your modem and you're done.

WetWired 2007-08-18 11:28 AM

Is it that hard for you to get a crossover cable? Just go to Best Buy and say "I want to buy a cat 5 crossover cable"
