Same here. Despite my avatar and screen name here, I'm far from rabid. I just love the setting. It keeps me coming back.

The setting and the black humor. There is still a gaping hole in the industry that only Fallout can fill.

Thats because the setting and humor is so far removed from the normal society. It's like it plays on our very base emotions and wants with it's savagry to sate crazy mofos who want to blow shit up or even people who like the idea of being able to kick the presidents ass in the second one. Personally I used a cattle prod on that bastard.

The thing I liked the most about Fallout was the quality of people in power. The politics in that game are very true to human psychology. :)

I'm a radiated/mutated monster junkie. That and the whole 1950's spin on the future. I love old propaganda posters.
